Look! In case you have not been paying attention to the NCAA Division 1A Football the BCS rankings are right around the corner. And like every Saturday there are more key match-ups that don't necessarily impact the top of the polls, but impact conference and always recruiting battles within state lines.

Among the headlines are GREEN LB and man-child GREG JONES VS MAIZE AND BLUE QB EXTROADINAIRE DENARD ROBINSON, 'NOLES QB CHRIS PONDER vs 'CANES QB JACORY HARRIS, THE RIVERBOAT GAMBLE LES MILES AT OFFENSIVE GURU URBAN MEYER, AND MR. LUCK VS A STRUGGLING MEN OF TROY.

Follow these headlines to these match-ups on Saturday October 9:

1. SPARTY AT BIG HOUSE: They should do a gladiator -style game where you put STATE LB GREG JONES and UM QB DENARD ROBINSON inside the old Colosseum and have at it. "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED", thanks Maximus Meridius. This should be a good one that pitches States' Defense against the LACELESS ONE IN JACKSON. The game will probably be won on the opposite end as State's Offense vs a horrible "Bend and Let You Score TD's in the Redzone" Wolverine Defense. If it stacks up like this lookout UM ANN ARBOR.

2. FSU AT CORAL GABLES: Back in the Day this one was prime-time and a killer of a game. With Talent like PRIMETIME, SHADE TREE JONES, D BROOKS, SAPP, ED REED, RAY RAY, IRVIN, BLADES BROTHERS, BUSH BROTHERS, DUNN, EDGE, JIMMY, BOBBY, and you get the picture. There is still talent on the field especially at QB with PONDER and HARRIS. The game will come down to who can win the turnover battle. The 'CANES have an edge on defense, but the 'NOLES are finding themselves after that BEAT DOWN in NORMAN. Whichever team has more turnovers will lose this in state battle and probabl recruiting next year.

3. L.S.U. AT THE SWAMP: We will see two things in this SEC burner. How will Les MIles' group respond after getting let off the hook by the REFS or the VOLS. And how will THE GATORS respond from just getting BLINDSIDED literally by 'BAMA. The Tigers have to get some Offensive Leadership from QB Jefferson who is regressing to the point that the TIGERS might have and probably will got to Plan B. The Gators need to go to the Freshman QB right now and Brantley will have to wait his turn or transfer. Look at high-profile programs you may wait a player out in a key position and play yourself right into a December Bowl Game.

4. MEN OF TROY AT HARVARD OF THE WEST: Look another loss to the Huskies and Ex-USC offensive Coordinator and Curerent Huskies Coach Steve "SARKS" Sarkisian. Man now you see why Pete Carroll left don't you. It's lesson to be learned you can stay at a major program for about 10 + years and then the writing is on the wall. Bad things tend to start happening and there is a list of coaches who went through that sort of deal. SARKS will continue to use his LA and Southern Cal connections to get them in Seattle. Lane knew this was coming it's called KARMA and we have all heard it right. The Oakland Raider ordeal , then the ROCKY TOP FIASCO, AND now you all of a sudden think you will continue where Coach Carroll left off, HELL NO BUDDY. AND NOW YOU FACE A BETTER COACH who has principals and morals in place in Jimmy Harbaugh. TURNAROUND! YOU KNOW WHATS COMING .
