The Hawks came out firing and maybe got a little inspiration from the Seattle Seahawks and their up and coming Parade Route from Super Bowl 48. The Hawks struck early and often as Net Minder Corey Crawford also had a fine night Citizen Kane 88 goes Twice-Maked with the Frozen One.
The Hawks struck in the 1st period with a Kane Wrister just over a minute into the action his 26th. Then "Bicks" Bryan Bickell goes slapper for #8 to make it 2-0 as Kings Star Drew Doughty goes slapper a minute later to cap the scoring at 2-1 Hawks after one.
The Kings Anze Kopitar goes Wrister to tie the game 2-2 as Hawks Marcus Kruger tip one in just under 14 minutes to make it 3-2 Hawks. The Hawks then get a slapper from Leddy in the 3rd and another goal from #88 of the Tip-In Variety to push the lead to 5-2. The Kings Tyler Toffoli scores with just under twelve minutes as that capped the scoring as the Hawks get a much-needed win 5-3 as they now face the NHL W-L Leader in the Ducks on Hump Day February 5th in Anaheim.
Hawks Net Minder Corey Crawford moves to 21-8-10 as the Hawks move to 34-10-14 with 82 points just three behind the Ducks at 85. Kings and Team USA Net Minder Jonathan Quick stops 25 of 30 as he falls to 15-13-2 coming off that Injury that sidelined him for over a month back in December ad January.
