It wasn't how Kansas Lead Man Bill Self drew it up but its a key win and its a conference win. The Jayhawks go into Waco, Texas and put the Baylor Bears all but on Ice as far as a Big 12 Season Championship is concerned. It wasn't behind the play of Fabulous Freshman Wayne Selden, Andrew Wiggins, or Joel Embiid....but Point Guard Naadir Tharpe who is slowly becoming the leader of KU's 201-14 Squad.

Tharpe led just three Jayhawks in double figures as he nets a game-high 22 points grabbing five Oranges and waiting four table as he was 4 of 6 from the "Land of Plenty". Sophomore Forward Perry Ellis added a double double of 14 and 10 with Freshman Andrew Wiggins also chipping in with 14 pints on just 4 of 13 from the field. The Jayhawks to their credit had a +15 margin on the glass and force the Bears to shoot under 30% from the field.

Baylor who came in at a disappointing 14-7 (2-6 Big 12) stayed relatively close but they are missing that Players that can spark them Offensively and they need someone to step up and become a leader. Forward Corey Jefferson (14 pts) and Guard Brady Heslip (12 pts) were the only Bears in double figures. Kansas with 2014 Top 3 NBA Pick Freshman Joel Embiid just shrunk the paint and force you to shoot over or around the Big Fella (Embiid) and teams struggle. When playing Kansas you have to get some Offense in Transition before they set their "D" up and funnel everything to Embiid and the Bears didn't do it.

Rock Chalk moving to 17-5 overall and 8-1 in Big 12 play will get the Mountaineers at Phog Allen on Saturday February 8th. The Bears falling to 14-8 and 2-7 in the Conference Play will gets Top Boomer Sooner in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday.
