Dressed in Texans Navy Blue Custom Letterman Jackets the Houston Texans arrived in Foxboro yesterday to do battle with the New England Patriots. This is a Barometer for Both heading into January Football as they are Two of the Top Five Super Bowls Picks for #47 which means absolutely nothing when you line up in January.

The Texans come in with the #1 Defense on 3rd Down the Pats come in with a 27th Ranked D in Total Yards and 29th vs the Pass. On the Flip Side the Pats also come in with the #1 Scoring Offense and #1 in Total Yards while the Texans are #2 in Scoring and #5 in Total Yards. Something will have to give as its a Chess Match through the Headsets with Texans Kubiak vs Pats Belichek with Big Time AFC Playoff Implications in this one.

Harris County Texas Tackle Football Club TEXANS @ Gillette vs Foxboro PATRIOTS

Put all the Numbers aside as this one shall be entertaining one would think. The Houston Texans with all that Star Power comes barreling into Foxboro Mass to lock horns with the New England Patriots and their Star QB.

The Texans are led by the #2 RB in all of Tackle Football Arian Foster aka the Philosopher. His Philosophy on his Run Game is Simple as in follow the Play and let the Blocks and Play Call play out. A very Patient Running Style Foster is and the Pats will have to slow him down. He will get his Yards just no Splash Plays mixed in. On the Outside QB Schaub has Dre 305 of Jordan Brand and he is rounding into Form as he is finally healthy after at least three Season of nagging Injuries. Texans Vet WR Kevin Walters is Ed MaCaffery 2K12 and the Pats Secondary must account for #83 in the Texans Program. TE Owen Daniels is the Best Sunday Tight End no one talks about and is Pro Bowl Caliber. Pats Backers will play a Huge Part in this one as well as the Texans Offensive Scheme is pretty Cut and Dry.

Defensively the Texas ate Loaded on every level. Yes they miss Pro Bowler ILB Brian Cushing but Area 99, JJ Watt, along with Captain Antonio Smith and Backers Conner Barwin and Bradie James among others are Dominant at Times in D-Coordinator Wade Phillips Scheme. They will be tested by a Pats Offense that not only includes Tom Brady but RB Ridley, WR Wes , and TE/WR Hernandez plus a plethora of other Play makers like Edelman and Woodhead among others. Can the Texans get to Brady and keep this Offense under Wraps?

Speaking of Brady and Company they are putting up a Boat Load of Points and this is with New Weapons mixed in with Vet Weapons. The Most important Part to the Pats Offense is their New Found Run Game with Stevan Ridley. Ridley makes the Play Action even more dangerous as he is a Home Ru Threat and a Monster in Space. One also has to think TE/WR Aaron Hernandez has to be getting close to 100% for this and he combined with Welker, Brandon Lloyd and Edelman will be more than a Handful for the Texans Secondary led by Safety Daniel Manning.  How effective Hernandez is will be the Key to the Pats Offense with No Gronk.

Defensively Belichek has put in a New Twist to the Past D. Remember that Old Cliche "I need my Best Players out there no matter what Position or Circumstance". Belichek and the Pats have Riches on Depth Chart with the Backers that they will play 5 Backers with 2 Down Lineman at once. Here is the Formation 2 DTs and 5 LBs:

DTs "Hot Plate" Wilfork #75 and Trevor Scott #99
LBs Mayo #51, Spikes #55, Chandler Jones #95 (Rookie), D'onta Hightower #54 (Rookie), and Ninkovich #50

                                  #50    #75   #99   #95
                                      #51    #55      #54

This Package gives then Offense Tons of Confusion because you don't know who is Coming or Covering. The Texans will have to deal with this Package and the Speed, Tackling, and Versatility is unmatched.

As we go to Press the Texans at 11-1 are the #1 AFC Seed and the Pats are the #3 AFC Seed. If anything the Pats need this Game to stay pace with the Broncos who are 10-3 and the #2 Seed in the AFC. The Texans have Two Dates with the 9-4 AFC South Division Rival Colts. The Pats host the 49ers in Foxboro next week with the Broncos traveling to Charm City to take on the #PURPLEbrowns. December Grown Man Tackle Football its all on the Line....
