The Pittsburgh Steelers dodge two different fronts in their 38-35 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday Afternoon at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh P.A.! First they survive on a winning FG but not after Antonio Brown and Landry Jones hooked up for the 57-yard pass with only seconds remaining. Then there is Big Ben Roethlisberger going down on a sack by Aldon Smith and after further review its a Mild Foot Sprain which will keep Big Ben out for a few weeks.
Before Big Ben went down he had thrown for 334 yards on 24 for 44 and 2 TDs and an INT. It was WR Antonio Brown who grabbed 17 Wilson pigskins for 284 yards that torched the Raiders Secondary time and time again. Throw in RB DeAngelo Williams rushing for 170 yards that Raiders "D" wasn't stopping anyone on this day!
Oakland QB Derek Carr was ditto to Big Ben completing 24 for 44 passes with 301 yards and 4 TDs and an INT. Both Michael Crabtree (7 rec 108 yards 2 TD) and Amari Cooper (7 rec 88 yards TD) got all over the Steelers Secondary with RB Latavious Murray running for 96 yards before he was knocked out on a hit by Steelers Safety Mike Mitchell.
The Steelers moving to 5-4 simply dodged a bullet in what would have been Wild Card Hopes. The Raider with work to do falls to 4-4 as they try and stay in the hunt for January Football as well...
