I am still at odds on who will win this series but if it is up to Lead Actors Chris Paul and Blake Griffin with the other Clipper Players playing Supporting Actors trying to get a "Lead Role"...Clips will move on!
CP3 goes for a game-high 32 points with seven boards and six assists with B.G. 32 adding 26 points while grabbing a dozen Spalding Oranges off the glass and waiting on six tables and taking the elevator all in one fell swoop as the Clips roll!
Los Angeles shot 51% from the field, 55% plus from the arc, and the nerve of them to shoot just above 60% from the stripe as the Spurs had no answer for them in that pivotal 3rd frame. The Clips led 49-43 at the break as they pushed that lead to 79-64 at the end of three as B.G. 32 went highlight reel a few times with a Nerf Rim all in between.
The Spurs give them credit as the Clips knew they were going to make a few runs at them pulled out the money ball racks in the 4th. Spurs Family trying to get back to playing "Spur Wars" hit 5 money balls in the 4th but could not get any closer than 90-81. Clips win going away 107-92 as Game #2 will be Wednesday April 22nd at Staples.
Kawhi Leonard led San Antonio with 18 points as they grab 17 to 6 offensive boards over the Clips. They shoot just 36% from the field and 30% from the arc and coming out of the motel with the home team shooting 50% in both those categories...take that "L" with you!
