The Brazilians get off to a fats start as Thiago Silva strikes in the 7th minute making it 1-0 Brazil. From there it was Brazil controlling the middle of the field as well the Ball and leading 1-0 going into intermission.
The game almost got away from Colombia as David Luiz scored in the 69th minute to give Brazil some much-needed breathing room only to find themselves in a fight not even eleven minutes after that score making it 2-0 Brazil. In the 79th minute Brazilian Goalkeeper Julio Caesar runs into Colombian Striker Carlos Bacca as Caesar misses the ball completely resulting in Caesar getting a Yellow Card and Colombians Striker James Rodriguez netting his Wold Cup leading 6th Goal and he might be on his way to the "Golden Boot".
That score made it 2-1 Brazil as the Colombians had plenty of opportunities after that but could not capitalize. Brazil goes onto to win a tight knit ball game in the waning moments and advance to the Final 4 where they get Germany.
