The Atlanta Braves knew they had to get it done as did the two Braves Players. ATL after a scintillating 2013 from First Baseman Freddie Freeman and a promising outlook on OF Jason Heyward re-up with both as the Braves start locking up that Core moving forward.

Freeman will get through numerous media outlets an 8-year deal worth a reported $135 million to keep him in the Braves Clubhouse through the 2021 season. A huge 2013 saw that "F2" Braves Twister hit .319 with 23 Bombs and he knocked in 109 Ducks off the pond. He had an OPS of .897 and that was among the best on the Senior Circuit. "F2" also finished 5th in the 2013 NL M.V.P. Voting.

Heyward in a career that has tinkered on sometimes 5-Tool and at other times "Bust" just needs to stay healthy. The Braves give him what they though was fair in a 2-year $13.3 million deal and that is not bad for a guy that has spent more time in Training Room that playing in the Braves OF or Line-Up. The Talent is there and if he can stay healthy and join forces with "F2" with that Braves Pitching...give me that "War Chant" Braves Nation! Heyward hit just .254 in 104 games of 162 as he smacked 14 Round Trippers to go with 38 ribbies. Like I was saying he knows what 2-years and just  north $13 million means the Braves have not yet given up on him...now show them and yourself!

Up Next for a Wells Fargo Wagon...Flame-Throwing RHP and Captain Save-A-Game in Craig Kimbrel and his 1.21 ERA and 50 Saves in 2013....Yikes!
