Last frame scoring for the Clips was all via the Bench and the Grizz had NO answer for the Clips as they win the Series 4-3 to advance to play the Spurs.
This Game 7 Hit Thriller in the Grind House in Memphis was all about the EXTRAS and not even the Co-Stars. K-Mart the Lob City Special, Mo-Will, the B-Ham Burner...Bledsoe, Nick at Night 2.0 in them LA Streets Edition, and Captain Caveman...Reggie Evans did in the Grind House slowly and methodically in the last frame.
The Clips Bench combined to out score the Grizz 25-14 in the 4th and that was the game. The Grizz didn't get that same production from lil Spaniard and Z-Bo they had in Games 5-6 and that was the Plan for the Clips going into Game7. Take away the Memphis Bigs, notably those two, and wee should win the game if out bench plays well and they answered the bell.
The Call of the game was Clips Lead Man VDN (Vinny Del Negro) going with a Hot Captain Caveman and K-Mart and keeping the BLAKEshow a the DNP Last Frame Show. The Experiment worked and maybe VDN and Blake learned something here. Now the Clips look like they may be able to match the Spurs dynamite Extras in the Western Conference Semis starting Tuesday.
And who said the Grind House at the end didn't miss SF/PF Darrell Arthur aka Slim Shady off that bench to match the Clips 2 Forwards. Now the Grizz have to figure out moving forward are they going to keep OJ Mayo or let him walk. To play Tony Allen that many minutes and Mayo gets not even half of Allen's minutes was a huge mistake for the Grizz. They put no pressure on the Clips offensively from that position because Allen is no Offensive Threat.
