Buccos starter Charlie Morton moves to 6-1 after that Pirates line up spots him a crooked five in the first inning. That five-run first frame was highlighted by an RBI two-bagger by "El Toro" Pedro Alvarez and RBI singles by Francisco Cervelli and Jordy Mercer.

Braves starter Julio Teheran (5-4) settled down after the first and went six allowing six runs in total on nine hits. The Chop Shop down 6-1 heading into the 7th put up a crooked three  as Jace Peterson goes for a RBI double clearing the bags as the sacks were packed making it 6-4. The Buccos came right back in their half of the 7th scoring two on RBI singles and a double!

"El Toro", Cervelli, and Mercer each had two RBI. The Braves were led by Peterson's three RBI as the Pirates move to ten over at 42-32 in the NL Central chasing the Redbirds. The Braves fall to 35-40 in the NL East with Nats holding that #1 slot!
