The Chicago Blackhawks are back on the winning track making in two W's in a row as they solve a see-saw affair at World's Most Famous Arena in Downtown Manhattan on Hump Day Night. The Hawks led 2-1 after two frames a they rode the Left Wings of one Russian and Hawks Rookie Artemi Panarin who is a lock for NHL Rookie of the Year!

The NBA All-Star Game Festivities got underway tonight "North of the Border" in Toronto, Canada as  it was Team U.S.A. versus Team World as the "Logo" shows off the future on the NBA which is in very good hands.

The Chicago Bulls beat down heading into tonight's game vs the Charlotte Hornets looked and played like a squad ending a seven-game Motel Swing as they lose 5 of 7 with Team Hoiberg heading into the bottom four of the eastern Conference.

Buzz City had "Hive Drive Alive" tonight as the Queen City North Carolina needed a "Shot" in the arm after last night's Super Bowl 50 that saw the home team the Panthers take an "L"! The Hornets led 38-20 after the 1st frame and never looked back as they led 57-42 at the break and 87-65 after three.

It was Hornets #1 Player Kemba Walker from Storrs, CT Hoops dba UConn Huskies leading the way with a game-high 30 points. Kemba had no D-Rose in front of him or Jimmy Butler and super-sub Nikola Mirotic as Pau Gasol led "See Red" with 22 points and ten boards dropping seven helpers.

The Bulls ha a tall order to fill with all that "Firepower" missing and in game 7 of a seven-game motel swing. Chicago falls to 27-24 and now currently sits in the 7th slot in the East. They were before the trip started in the #4 slot.

As for Cam Newton is was the "Body Language" he exhibited all game long while not being "Cam the Superman" from a standpoint of evading the rush and pressures using his Dawgs! I don't know if he was trying to get his point across by staying in the pocket being a "Pocket Passer" or what but his play hurt his squad. The Panthers "D" came to play like they always do and considering what they were up against and the field position they inherited on series after series the score should have been or could have been 48-10.

Could the Panthers and O-Coordinator Mike Shula have helped the Tackles more and trying to slow down Miller and DeMarcus Ware (3 Tckls 2 Red Jersey Collections) yes they could have with Max Protections Packages but they did not. The Chicago Blackhawks knew slowing down that Dallas Stars 2-Pack of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn would be the key. Where do you start when the Home Team is down 27-12 after one and 62-26 at the break. Dallas Mavericks lead man Rick Carlisle who is one of the best lead in the "Logo" had to be dumbfounded at the way his team competed tonight vs the Spurs knowing what was in front of them.

San Antonio shoot plus 50% from the field and the Arc as well as right under 90% from the stripe. Spurs All-Star Kawhi Leonard led the San Antonio Attack with a game-high 23 points in just over 26 minutes. Spurs #2 All-Star "L-Train" Aldridge added 14 points and grabbed ten boards.

Dallas was never in it as Charlie Villanueva and Rook Justin Anderson led the Mavs with 13 points each off the bench. Dirk Nowiztki led the starters with 10 points and the only starter in double figures. San Antonio moves to 42-8 as they securely are in the 32 slot ahead of O.K.C.. The Mile High City was just that in and around the Pepsi Center dba the Big 2-Liter as their Broncos await a Sunday early evening kickoff for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California. The Chicago Bulls were in town creating another "Buzz" weighing in at 27-21 before the outcome of this one...

The Denver Nuggets playing for the 2K16 Lottery Machine came out firing as they led 30-26 after one and trailed 57-55 at intermission. Their 1st half story ran through Italy's Danillo Gallinari 19 points and Will Barton's 11 points. The Bulls running on D-Rose's 13 points and Jimmy Butler's 19 points until it happened. Butler from reports goes down with an apparent Knee Sprain as the Bulls hope and wish thr MRI tells them just that. That is the one player outside of Pau Gasol and of course D-Rose that they could ill afford to lose.

2-Time All-Star Sniper 

The Bulls then came out firing in the 3rd and ran off to a 89-73 lead after three. I don't know if it was the thin air in the Mile High City or what but the Nuggets after three and drinking some "Orange Crush" from #UnitedInOrange dba Denver Broncos ran off a 42-21 frame in the 4th to steal victory 115-110 from the Bulls.

Gallinari had a game-high 33 points for the Nugs as Super-Sub Will Barton added 21 points off the bench and Nugs starting Center Nikola Jokic hit back to back money balls early in the 4th to get Denver rolling. Chicago just fell apart and with former Lead Man Tom Thibodeau long gone they do not get after folks on the defensive end and that has come back to bite them at least 10 times this season late in games.

D-Rose nearly went triple-double with 30 points and nine boards to go with eight helpers. The absence of Pau Gasol for Chicago was huge in the 4th with no inside presence as he was out with a Left Hand Strain. Chicago falls to 2-3 on current 7-game motel swing that looks like no Jimmy Butler in the last two contests!

Outlook: 

Manning showed the necessary arm strength needed to get to the Carolina Panthers Secondary. Against the Steelers in the divisional round Manning as indecisive at times and threw some Wilson pigskins that were questionable. Adding to that was his wide outs dropping the "Pig" and that cannot happen in the biggest game and biggest stage in the "Shield"!

Look for a lot of quick intermediate routes to aleve pressure packages by the Panthers. Look for Carolina including Norman Island to play a lot of Press (Bump/Run" Coverage daring the Broncos WRs to get off the jam and make plays!

Overall Manning Mile High if this is it will go out throwing the "Pig" all over the place. Lastly I have yet to see Manning throw the deep "Pig" and if he cannot with any "Pop" that is to the Panthers Advantage with their Safeties playing nowhere near that deep 1/3 and one near the Box!

Outlook: 

Cam has had a M.V.P. Caliber Season as he can collect that Trophy and the Lombardi (Fight 4 Vince) if he can get by the Denver Broncos. He will be flying in that "No Fly Zone" Secondary of #UnitedInOrange but he did make #BirdGang and the L.O.B. look really bad.

Cam must trust his reads and unlike Manning has elite arm strength but he needs to "Stay Calm" and deliver. If the Broncos were to get Cam and better be early as they somehow and someway need to make #1 in Teal and Black uncomfortable. How you do that they need to stir up the perfect Storm with the Weather Channels' Jim Cantore.

As for Cam's Wide Outs it is led by perennial Pro-Bowler Greg Olsen from the "U" Coral Gables. Vet WRs Ted Ginn Jr. and Jerricho Cotchery have made "Plays" in the Passing game when they needed to be made. Throw in Olsen in and around the Red Zone and between the Hashes and "Philly" Brown doing his thing with "YAC" vrooooooooooom...lookout Broncos Secondary. These are solid pros mixed with a "Philly" or two as there is just no clear #2 as Olsen is their go-to dude in the crunch!

Overall Cam will play well as he has been waiting for this stage since he was the #1 overall pick a few years back. Denver must keep him in the pocket and no go up the field giving him those run lanes. One of these QBs will solve the equation as will one of these defenses!

So much for missing a game due to an NHL Rule that states if a player misses the All-Star Game he must miss the 1st game on the schedule after the All-Star Game. Chicago Blackhawks Center and Ice Game Royalty Jonathan Toews did that missing the "Hump Day" Game versus the "Avs in a 2-1 Hawks "W" only to comeback with a vengeance playing like he has missed the 1st part of the Hawks season!

Captain Serious in a wild one in the "Valley of the Sun" nets goal #20 in the 2nd frame only to get the game-winner in Extras (#21) for a Hawks 5-4 win. Hawks RW Patrick Kane gets his Ice Games leading 31st Goal in the 2nd as well. Arizona played well enough to win and even on the Toews game-winner Artemi Panarin of the Hawks should have received a penalty but the Zebras miss calls every now and then and the Hawks benefited from them missing this one.

Now this sets up a huge game on Saturday Night in Big D as the Hawks travel to Dallas, Texas to face the "Stars on Ice" loaded with a two-pack dba Jamie Benn and Tykler Seguin as well as two ex-Hawks Patrick Sharp and Johnny Oduya. Chicago moves to 74 points leading the West as Arizona falls with 54 points...

The Detroit Pistons are heading in the right direction as they have been riding their All-Star "Big" Mr. Drummond dba Andre Drummond to an impressive 27-24 1st half as we go to press. Lopez had a huge night for Knicks Tape dropping a game-high 26 points and hauling in sixteen boards with Affalo dropping 24 points. 'Melo Anthony almost went triple-double with 19 points and eleven boards with eight assists. It was that hole the Knicks dug in the 1t half as it took way too much energy in the 2nd half to get back into the ball game coming out of the Motel to hit the winner's circle!
