It was a matter of time and the Warriors git this one right  and it took too long in my estimation. Through numerous media outlets Golden State Warriors two-way big guard Klay Thompson and G.S.W. agree on a max contract of the four-year variety.

The deal is said to be worth around $68 plus million over 48 months to keep Klay Thompson playing home games at Planet Oracle. The 4th year guard numbers have been on the increase every year he has been in the Logo. His last season in 2013-14 he averaged a career-high 18.4 ppg while locking up the oppositions best wing player. He is also one of the deadliest shooters in the game as his game start to come full circle.

The former WAZU (Washington State) Star now is locked into playing with his partner in crime and the other "Splash Brother" Steph Curry through 2018-19. The Warriors were very close to trading KLAY-metheus for one Kevin Love but didn't in one of the smartest moves in franchise history.

The game was won on the sheer determination on the glass. The Cleveland Cavaliers will not get out rebounded on most nights in 2014-15and tonight was no different. Behind 20 offensive boards and a 52-42 rebounding advantage the Cavs go into the Madhouse on Madison and gets a 114-108 victory.

Yes King James was going to come out aggressive after a flat performance laced with eight turnovers in the "Q" last night. LeBron goes for a game-high 36 points including 17 of those before the break. Cavs PG Kyrie Irving added a quiet 23 points but that wasn't all the headlines on this night for the Boys from the "Q"!

The "Lake Oswego Monster" Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson controlled the glass from start to finish. Both had double-doubles with Love 16 points and sixteen boards  with Tristan adding 16 points and thirteen boards. They just simply wanted it more than the Bulls on the glass.

Both Kirk Hinrich and Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 20 points as D-Rose turned an ankle in the 2nd frame and in the early 3rd frame went out the game never to return. Captain Kirk almost had the Bulls in the winner's circle late with some money balls as the Cavs tied it on a Kyrie Irving and one with a ghost foul from Taj Gibson.

Pau Gasol added 15 points and nine boards as he blocked a game-high six shots. Bloodline Mike Dunleavy Jr. chipped in with 14 points including 4 for 7 from the arc. Bulls shot themselves in the foot getting bounded on the glass.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were celebrating like it was "1999" last night at the "Q" only for the visiting Knickerbockers led by Jordan Brand's 'Melo Anthony to spoil all the fun with a 95-90 Knicks "W"!. Now the plot thickens for the Cavs as they are the main course on the menu for the Bulls and the "West Side Story Report" who destroyed the Knicks on hump day at the World's Most Famous!

The Bulls having practice yesterday will be ready for battle as they looked in mid-season form on hump day vs the Knicks. It was the starters led by the "Spaniard" Pau Gasol cool 21 points and eleven boards that paced the first five. The Bulls new "Bench Mob" led by yours truly the "TAJ-manian Devil" Gibson who led all scorers with 22 points and eight boards. Bulls 2014 free agent pick up PG Aaron Brooks who had 13 points and six helpers dominated the Knicsk 2nd unit.

A game that didn't see anyone get on the scoreboard until the 2nd frame the New Orleans Saints come out victorious a they took full reigns of the below-average NFC south. The Saints led 14-0 at the break and 21-7 after three and never looked back as Ron Rivera Panthers squad is reeling.

The Saints get another peak performance from former Heisman Winner RB Mark Ingram with 100 yards on thirty carries as he is in a contract year having his biggest year and that's how it works for most.

Saints QB Drew Brees threw for 297 yards on 24 for 34 with a INT as it didn't start well for Brees or that Saints Offense in the first frame. TE "Big Red of NOLA" Jimmy Graham caught seven pigs for 83 yards and a TD.

Panthers QB Cam Newton had another down-trodden performance throwing for just 151 yards on 10 for 28 and an INT. Cam and Panthers running backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams combined for 23 carries and 109 yards and a TD. The Panthers vertical passing game is non-existent and has been since that OT tie with the Bengals.

New Orleans moves atop the NFC south at 4-4 with the Panthers falling to 3-5-1.

The Louisville Cardinals just like the NC State Wolfpack, Clemson Tigers, and Fighting Irish of Notre Dame had the Florida State Seminoles right where they wanted them. They also have one thing in common and that is losing to the 'Noles as Florida State dodges another "L" near Churchill Downs!

The 'Noles down 21-0 at one point scored right before the half and went into the break down 21-7 and that was huge for the FSU. It was Louisville's fabulous duo of RB Michael Dyer (28 att 134 yards 3 TD) and WR Devonte Parker (8 pigs 214 yds) doing most of the damage for the Cards as well as Safety Gerod Holliman with two INT as he almost on two other occasions had two more.

It was 'Noles QB Jameis Winston turning a bad performance into a solid one minus his three INT's. Winston threw for 401 yards on 25 for 48 and three TD's. The 'Noles erupted for for 35 points in the 2nd half as the 'Vill had no answer for them on "D".

It was 'Noles true freshman RB Dalvin Cook who ran for 110 yards on just nine carries and caught four pigs for 40 yards as he had two long rushing TD's that broke Louisville's back. FSU's two top offensive weapons TE Nick O'Leary and WR Rashad Greene combined for a dozen grabs for 128 yards but none for pay dirt.

The 'Noles "D" finally settled down and to their credit held the Cards to 1 for 11 on 3rd down. FSU was 9 for 16 on 3rd down and that told the story in the 2nd as Louisville could not get off the field on 3rd down.

The 'Noles move to 8-0 and 5-0 in the ACC. The Cards fall to 6-3 and 4-3 in the ACC...

A game that had that back and forth feeling to it with both net minders giving up more than a few. The Hawks had reach back not in regulation or extras but in a shootout to get this "W". It came on a Patrick Sharp game-winner as he was the only one of six to "Light the Lamp" in the shootout shooting 8th.

The Sens score in the 1st behind a Mark Stone goal only to see the Indian Head take the 2-1 lead after the 1st intermission behind Captain Serious and Kris Versteeg goals. Clarke MacArthur of the Sens tied the game in the 2nd beating Hawks net minder Scott Darling and that would be the only goal in the 2nd.

The 3rd frame was highlighted by four goals as the Hawks Captain Serious scored his 2nd of the night with Marian Hossa giving the Hawks a 4-3 lead late and notching his 1,000th career point in doing so. The Sens though struck with under three minutes to play on a Mika Zibanejad goal tying the game at 4-4 sending it into extras.

The Hawks had their chances ending the game in extras on a 4-3 advantage on the power play and they could not get the puck in net. The Hawks were 0/5 on the power play as the Sens were 1/6.

It was Patrick Sharp after all five players missed in the shootout Patrick Sharp beat Sens net minder Craig Anderson for the winner. Anderson stopped 35 of 39 SOG with the Hawks Darling halting 28-32.

The Indian Head moves to 6-3-1 with 13 points. The Sens fall to 5-2-2 with a dozen points. Hawks will get the Leafs on Saturday November 1st in the Gardens!

No they didn't as the New York Knicks walked into game #2 of the 2014-15 NBA 82-game trek (with a bad loss to the Bulls at World's Most Famous last night" and gets a 95-90 nip and tuck playoff-like atmosphere win at the "Q"! 

With Cavs nation rocking way before the game and the #CavsInNavyBlue out of the tunnel Cleveland had no fear of losing to the Knicks. That all changed some 2 1/2 hours later as #KnicksTape followed the lead of their Ace the "Bully" of Jordan Brand for a game-high 25 points on 9 of 17 shots for a convincing Knicks "W". 

'Melo also gets a dozen from Knicks starting shooting guard Iman Shumpert and a dozen from Jason Smith and "Get Shots" J.R. Smith off he bench. New York shot the magic numbers of 50% from FG , 50% from the 3pt FG, and 80% from the line and if those numbers are north of 180 you will win most games in the Logo! The Knicks were way too comfortable at the "Q" and the Cavs "D" must get to another level before they call themselves elite forget what they look like on paper!

The Cavs led 44-42 at the break but railed 67-64 after three. The Knicks had their biggest lead at 82-73 with just over five minutes left in the game as the Cavs made a run and got that deficit down to three at 88-85 with 1:40 remaining. The Cavs could get no closer as a 'Melo "J" from the corner made it 92-87 after King James hit a lay-up. 

Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 22 points with Kevin Love adding 19 points and grabbing fourteen boards. King James added 17 points on 5 of 15 shooting. The Cavs get the Bulls on o Night at the Madhouse on Madison and the Bulls have been ready!

Game Outlook:

The Seminoles are loaded, explosive, athletic, but they play down to the competition and that is a huge negative. The Cards have a real chance if they can jump out to an early lead and get some three and outs vs that explosive FSU offense. Winston is the key but RB Karlos Williams and WR Rashad Greene are big-time players and behind them it's a plethora of lesser-known names who will step into the FSU limelight in 2015.

The Cards need to keep down and distance and make FSU predictable on offense so they can get after Winston. Do you spy him not necessarily but you need to stay in your lanes and keep him inside the hash mark in the middle of the field.

The Cards with that pro-style offense of Petrino is super-balanced as they have two WR's Jame sQuick and Eli Rogers who have combined for 60 grabs. They also have two RB's that have combined to rush for over 760 yards in Brandon Radcliff and Dominique Brown. The 'Noles with All-American DT/DE Mario Edwards Jr. will challenge that Cards o-line and they have their work cutout.

The Cards will go with true Soph QB Will Gardner and he needs to bring his A-game or else! He will be under immense pressure to make plays against that athletic and ball-hawking 'Noles "D" and it might be too tall of an order for him as we will soon find out!

It will come down to who can get off on 3rd down,. the kicking game, and "splash plays" and FSU is looking to repeat as this might be another pot hole they need to avoid!

Winner: FSU 38 24...too much Cream at the top of that FSU roster for U of L to handle!

The New Orleans Saints could not have been more punctual almost left for the 2014 Sunday dead starting the season at 2-4 and that is the bad news. The good news is that they reside in the below average NFC south and after that Packers "W" last Sunday night they are 3-4 right back in it.

The Carolina Panthers lets one slip away as they had the champs the Seattle Seahawks on the ropes for three frames and then some only to lay an egg on "D" and "O" for a 13-9 loss. QB Cam Newton hasn't looked worse and the Panthers doubt has fallen into that locker room. Now they get the rival Saints prime time and the loser might not ever be back above water for the 2014 season!

Game Outlook: 

The Saints might have figured out something on Sunday versus the Packers as they get 170 plus yards on the ground from Mark Ingram and rook WR/Gadget Brandin Cooks sliced and diced that Packers secondary one of the better secondaries in the "Shield"!  The Saints know they need a balanced attack for Brees to operate in those intermediate routes as well go deep with favorable match ups. The Panthers need to slow down Ingram and then hope they can get to Brees pressures and red jersey collections and they will have a chance.

The Panthers get the best news as #1 RB DeAngelo Williams is back in action and they need him and Jonathan Stewart for that change of pace attack that gives defenses fits. QB Cam needs to play better regardless who is at running back. TE Greg Olson is his ace in the hole but he needs to get that Wilson pigskin to the likes of rook Kelvin Benjamin and Jerricho Cotchery among others. The Saints will need both bookends OLB's Cameron Jordan and Junior Galete to get to Cam or at least make him step up and pressure him.

The Saints are coming in riding high and the Panthers the home team looks very vulnerable to say the least. It is a wide-open race in the NFC south and someone is going to have to step up and take control.

Winner: Saints 30-17 as Brees and Company get it rolling again...

Russell Westbrook has to carry the load for the Thunder but let's not get carried away. What he doesn't have to do is take his shots and @kdTREY5 shots to keep the Thunder in games. That mentality he used tonight worked in the 1st half as he netted 26 points for a 54-49 OKC lead. That same mentality went left in the 2nd half.

The Blazers in turn stayed close even though they could not find the GPS for 23'9" shooting at a 2 for 15 clip from the arc in the 1st half. Now what they do have that OKC doesn't have is a bonafide inside    presence with the Logo's only Choo Choo train the L-Train. Rip City and @NikeBasketball star PF LaMarcus Aldrdige  came up with 17 points in the 1st half almost to match Westbrook.

In the 2nd half the Blazers came out with the Spalding money ball racks and found the GPS for 23'9" and went to work shooting a blistering 9 for 14 from the Arc in the 2nd half erasing that five point halftime deficit and cutting it two points 77-75 at the end of three.

The Blazers then ended the game on a 31-12 run with both Blazers guards Damian Lillard and Bloodline Wes Matthews Jr. combining for five money balls in the frame. Westbrook ended the night with a game-high 38 points but he took that "L" with him on the charter.

OKC had only two other players in double figures in starter Serge Ibaka with 10 points an Lance Thomas adding 14 (7/10 FG) off the OKC bench. The Thunder needs more ball movement and they must get other people involved before they find themselves some 5-10 games off the pace in the west when KD comes back.

L-Train led Rip City with a smooth 27 points (17 in 1st half) and Matthews Jr. added 22 points as the Blazers had six players in double figures. As we go to press the Northwest division will go through Rip City until I see otherwise.

The San Francisco Giants are world champions again as they go into Kansas City needing to win one of two and they win game #2 taking the hardest route. The Royals had their chances vs San Fran starter "Huddy" Tim Hudson and took full advantage. The problem was Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie  wasn't any more sharper than "Huddy" and it was left up to the Pens. That was bad news for the Royals and they knew it...

After Tim Hudson's rather eventful 1 2/3 frames giving up two runs on three hits lasted just two more innings the Royals might have been in the winner's circle. Giants skip Bruce Bochy had a quick leash in game 7 with no more games to play until April 2015 and that gave way to Giants reliever Jeremy Affeldt's sparkling 2 1/3 frames of one hit ball. He will be the most important man in this series giving way to the 2K14 "Fight for the Commissioner" M.O.P. Madison "Bum" Bumgarner.

"Bum" goes five frames allowing two hits and striking out four including 1-2-3 frames in the 6th , 7th, and 8th. A performance for the ages as he needed all of that to beat a team in the Kansas City Royals that was not going to be denied.

Mama there goes that man again and the Boston Celtics might need a Campbell's soup commercial with a good family can of vintage Boston Clam Chowder. That 2nd frame the C's outscore the Nets 35-18 to take a commanding 67-41 lead into the locker room at the break. The Chicago Bulls left no doubters that the Eastern Conference will most likely run through the Madhouse on Madison starting mid-April 2015. The Bulls shoot 50% from the field and held a lead at 30 plus early in the 4th on their way to a 104-80 "W" and it wasn't that close.

The Bulls were led by the outstanding play of the TAJ-manian Devil #22 as he nets a game-high 22 points while grabbing eight boards. The "Spaniard" Pau Gasol maneuvered his way to 21 points and eleven boards as Knicks tape had no answer for that vaunted See Red front line.

Super-Sub and Bulls "Bench Mob" leader PG Aaron Brooks spearheaded the 2nd units efforts adding 13 points and waiting on six Bulls tables. Rook Doug "McBuckets" McDermott had a dozen including a walk-up triple in transition as he pushed that Bulls lead to 30 in the 4th.

The Knicks looking lost as expected as that "Triangle" offense takes months or even a year to learn struggled. The Thunder will try to push the tempo and even without KD of Hookem' Horns Basketball lore the Thunder is super-fast. Russell Westbrook leads but Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb have "G" and they will be a problem for the Blazers if Rip City transition "D" is suspect. OKC is still perimeter-oriented with no real low-post presence but 2nd year "Big" Steven Adams should provide some of that presence. Will OKC go through him though in the half court and not live and die by the "J"?

The Blazers run through their top-flight All-Stars in Lillard and Aldridge and rightfully so. It doesn't stop there though France's Nicolas Batum and Wes Matthews think "D" first and that allows the Blazers to stay in most games as they get after it on the defensive end. Robin Lopez is much-improved and Thomas Robinson, CJ McCollum, and Dorrell Wright provides quality depth. How will Rip City react to Russ on Lillard and "Air Congo" Serge Ibaka on L-Train as that alone is must see 2 on 2 NBA TV?

It doesn't get any better than this in the Northwest or in the Logo for starters. "Expectations" are real for both as OKC is picked to be in that top 4 in the West and some have the Blazers sneaking up on OKC for the northwest title...imagine that!

PLAYBOOK:

The Bulls will run the offense through D-Rose but their 'Bigs" add another dimension as both Jo and Pau are two of the best passing big men in the game. The Bulls don't need Rose to take 25 shots a night although he will still get his shots I just hope is is closer to 15-20 than 25-30.

The shooters like Dunleavy Jr., Captain Kirk, and rook McBuckets in Doug McDermott along with two-time Euro P.O.Y. Nikola Mirotic can all spread the hardwood with the money ball. That will keep the painted area and driving lanes free of congestion as you double you pay it's that simple. The Knicks will need to get bodies in front of that one-man fast break in Rose and then get to the arc to slow down that deadly transition money ball.

The Knicks running the "Triangle' look for 'Melo to be the main cog getting the Spalding orange on the block or around the choke area (upper corners of the lane) to initiate the offense. Afte that there are so many variable the Bulls are going to have to play it straight up as there is no real stop to that offense.  It is predicated on what the defense gives you and the Bulls will not give you much in the or around the paint.

PG Jose Calderon as well as Hardaway Jr. and "Get Shots" J.R., can stretch the floor for the Knicks and the Bulls need to pay close attention to those three near White Plains, NY. The Knicks when they get out it will be that 2nd unit that is youthful and athletic. Rook Cleanthony Early of Shock Nation is a gamer and he and Bloodline Hardaway Jr. along with Smith will give teams issues on that 2nd unit.

The Bulls 2nd Unit is no slouch either led by the TAJ-manian Devil #22 along with PG Aaron Brooks and Captain Kirk Hinrich. This is a really good one with See Red picked by many to win the East or at least be in the East Finals. Win or loss it's just 1 of 82 but a "W" would be nice for See Red starting the 82-game trek out of the motel!

Hayward is on the rise and there is nothing he can't do as he is a mix between Thunder Dan Majerle and Tom Chambers with a handle better than Detlef Schrempf...and go look all that up NBA Heads!

Game Outlook: 

The Rockets will be running and running some more. Yes they will have the Spalding money ball racks out. They also need to make a concerted effort to get Dwight the ball in the half court and run the offense through him. Have the Rockets improved defensively as we will soon find out. Having Trevor Ariza with Patrick Beverley should influence Harden to at least get out in the passing lanes more and check his man. This is a solid Rockets bunch on paper with one of the better 2nd units in the Logo!

The Lakers will most likely go with Jeremy Lin at the point with the Black Mamba riding at the shooting guard slot. Wes Johnson is a solid SF and is Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill formidable enough to hold down the pained area for the Lakers through 82 in 2014-15? That Lakers bench is young but has some nice pieces as Swaggy P will be locked and loaded. Lake Show new lead man Byron Scott took a shot a the Rockets Dwight Howard talking Kobe loves Chips and I don't know of Dwight is interested in Chips. He telling the truth and Mr. Howard is on the clock and has been for quite sometime!

Game Outlook:

The Mavs come in rejuvenated as the Mavs G.O.A.T. Dirk Nowitzki left Duffel Bags in Mr. Shark Tank's corner Mavs owner Mark Cuban to get more help. That played out in Dirk's and the Mavs favor as they add Chandler Parsons, Jameer Nelson, and Tyson Chandler with all three starters for the Mavs this season. Add that to Monta Ellis dba "Mississippi Lightning the Mavs might finish in that Top 6 in the rugged west.

The Spurs make history adding the first women coach in San Antonio Silver Stars and WNBA Star Becky Hammons. They also made history grabbing Spurs Chip #5 and take that Spurs haters. They are still running on Dunc, TP9, and Manu as well as future franchise player Kawhi Leonard. K.L. will not be a go on opening night due to an eye injury.

The Mavs will try to push the pace and get into that Spurs Bench. The Spurs on the other hand will probably have that "Ring Party" hangover and come out and lay an egg as it is happened all too often. They get a pass though becoming the redeem team in 2013-14 by beating the same team they should have beat the year before for a chip.

Hats off to #HTTR lead man Jay Gruden seemingly dead in the water coming into Jerry's House with his 3rd string QB Colt McCoy from Hookem' Horns Lore! The Dallas Cowboys came in with a six game win streak and playing at their house on prime time with everything going in their favor. Then it happened...

McCoy played Colt McCoy ball after settling down as he was a cool 25 for 30 for 299 yards and did not turnover the Wilson pigskin. 'Skins RB Alfred "1996 Nissan Sentra" Morris ran for 73 yards on 18 carries with the bulk of that load riding off tackle off All-Pro Trent Williams of Boomer Sooner! DeSean "Nestea Plunge" Jackson with a quiet 136 yards on six grabs was the calm before the storm.

After all the dust settled the play of the game was in extras with the 'Skins up 20-17 stopping the Cowboys on their first four downs. 'Skins D-Coordinator Jim Haslett was money all night long as he started emptying the holster late bringing everything but the Redskins Cheerleaders and Daniel Snyder to the box.

In the loss Boomer Sooner and Cowboys star RB DeMarco Murray accounted for 221 total yards with 141 yards on 19 carries coming from the ground. Murray also led the 'Boys with 80 yards on four grabs as the "X" of Jordan Brand 'Boys WR Dez Bryant was held to three grabs for 30 yards.

QB Tony Romo left the game in the 3r hurt on z blitz by the 'Skins as he was 17 for 28 for 209 yards and a TD. He left and back up Brandon Weeden took the reigns and accounted fop 10 points on two drives and was rather impressive.

In hindsight this might be a costly loss as Cowboys inside backer Justin Durant might be out with Torn Biceps and that is a huge blow as he and Rolando McClain have been vital to the Cowboys success on "D"! Romo reportedly will be evaluated but world around Jerry's House is its a back contusion.

#HTTR moves to 3-5 and the Cowboys drop to 6-2 a 1.2 game ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles...'Skins not out of anything just yet!

Damian Lillard in only his 3rd NBA season to date he is as god as advertised but only better. He made his first trip to an NBA All-Star game last season and his game will only get better.

Goran Dragic dba the Dragon is as smooth as they get and he was All-NBA 3rd team last season and deservedly so. In traffic, pick and pop or roll, to the cup, or by the money ball rack...his game is live not memorex!

"Double R" the C's Rajon Rondo is the Custodian of the group and the young Celts will only benefit more if he is at the controls. He might be the only PG on the list that will be in trade talks before 2014 ends...trust me on that!

They grabbed the Atlantic division going 0 to 100 real quick in the 2013-14 with a well-known rapper as their mascot. Kyle Lowry gets his deal at $48 million as he is a triple-double walking on any night as he is that good. Combo G Lou Williams comes over from the Highlight Factory and the versatile Greivis Vasquez can also play the point as he did back in his days dominating the SEC playing for the Fighting Turtles of College Park, MD. Watch out for rookie Montana Grizzlies star Will Cherry who was a blur in the Vegas Summer League as he hails from PG Central Oakland, California.

Team USA player DeMar DeRozan of Compton is arguably the most underrated sniper in the Logo. He and K.L. are the perfect match as they both can hit it from deep and take you off the bounce with contact and finish and they both had Logo certified mid-games. Free Agent pick up Jordan Hamilton will provide depth as will T-Ross. Can Landry Field get minutes?  

That front court is anchored by Lithuanian Big Jonas Valanciunas as the lights are starting to come for the big fella. Former L.A. Westchester HS Star and Louisville signee Amir Johnson is a nice PF and he and Jonas are a nice duo in the painted area.  James Johnson along with T-Ross and "Pshyco-T" Tyler Hansbrough will provide quality depth. #KNICKStape 2014-15 Outlook 2nd in the Atlantic

Jose Caledron comes over from the Mavs replacing "Guns and Cheeseburgers" PG Ray Felton. He also carries Mavs former 1st rounder Shane Larkin who should help at the point with Pablo Prigioni doing what he does defensively. Larkin is a nice change of pace guard and when he goes to the PG, Bloodline Hardaway Jr. at the SG, and Iman at SF watch your handles.

Hardaway Jr. is ready for lift-off and the Knicks get another gift grabbing Bloodline in the early 20s. He should flourish in his 2nd season as he is a dead-eye marksman and a risk taker like his Pops the UTEP Two-Step Tim Sr.. J.R. Smith will provide quality plus at time boneheaded depth at the SG and SF with Iman Shumpert joining Early for some excellent wing play.  

In that front court it is all about 'Melo Anthony but he has some help. Sam Dalembert comes over in the Tyson Chandler trade to be the man in the middle. Andrea Bargnani is what he is a rich man's Darko Milicic walking. Cole Aldrich is another "Big" from KU that sticks around getting checks and an occasional rebound or foul. the artist formerly known as "S.T.A.T." of Nike Basketball is back to an expiring contract and Amare' Stoudamire government name. Watch former Sixers 1st rounder Jason Smith as he could surprise a few playing the 5!

The Knicks are loaded at the 1-3 but lacks what looks to be quality play on that front line after bypassing 'Melo. Can the Knicks get that 2nd slot in the Atlantic ahead of the rival Nets and challenge the Raptors in the 2014-15?

The Redskins at this point have nothing to lose but can make a little bit of noise beating the Cowboys in Big D! There is no RG3 but what there is is Alfred Morris to go along with Pierre Garcon and DeSean "Nestea Plunge" Jackson. Weapons galore are at Colt McCoy disposal but he needs to be careful with that highly-underrated 'Boys secondary.

The Cowboys come in with RB DeMarco Murray doing damage on every defense he faces. If the 'Skins d-line gets blown of the Wilson pigskin by that Cowboys "D" it will be no match as it starts up front. TE Jason Witten is still a threat but with Murray going anyone on the vertical passing game of the Cowboys us a threat.

WR Dez Bryant of Jordan Brand is making a case to be in the top three wide outs in the game and I would put him, Steelers A.B., and Falcons Julio Jones in that mix. The 'Skins must slow down the Murray to have any shot or it will be a long night.

The 'Skins "D" will have red jersey collector Ryan Kerrigan as they lose Brian Orakpo again to torn biceps. Can Romo get enough time to exploit that 'Skins solid secondary by the numbers led by Steelers cast off Ryan Clark?

The New Orleans Saints see the same things we see as they came in 2-4 and in 2nd place behind the Carolina Panthers who lose to the Champs 206 13-9 in Charlotte earlier Sunday afternoon. The Saints knew if they won this game they would be tied for 1st midway through the 16-game trek.

Green Bay had to keep pace with the Motor City Lions as they came back from the Sunday dead to beat the Rise Up Falcons 22-21. A-Rog and company came in riding a four-game winning streak and would that move to six as early on it sure looked like it would.

After a 16-16 tie at the break the Saints came out scoring 21 straight to put the Packers away 44-23. A-Rog, Eddie, and Randall went to Mars....Brees went vintage, Ingram went Heisman and Roll Tide, and Saints rook gadget Brandin Cooks told Saints vets , " someone else go get the "Beignets" from Cafe Du Monde" I am wearing big boy pants"!

Bree threw for 311 yards on a sizzling 27 for 32 and three in the Pack end zone. Mark Ingram ran for 172 yards on twenty-four carries as Who Dat had the other two RB's out with injuries. Cooks grabbed six pigs for 94 yards and one for pay dirt.

A-Rog in the loss was 28 for 39 for 418 yards a TD and two INT's. Eddie Lacy back near home rushed for 59 yards on thirteen attempts but grabbed eight pigs for 123 yards getting his double-duty on. Former Kentucky Wildcat star WR Randall Cobb hauled in five pigs for 126 yards and a score. The "Pack" tried to "7 on 7" with Brees and Company and tonight it just wasn't happening as they get stuffed with a 44-Piece and a Mother's Restaurant Po'boy samich loaded with all the fixins' including some debris...yeah I said it debris!

Saints had four red jersey collections and the Packers two. Who Dat moves to 3-4 as the Panthers are 3-4-1. The Packers fall behind the Lions who are 6-2 falling to 5-3.

The San Francisco Giants win last night was huge and they knew it with that "Bum" going in the pivotal game five. The Royals are under the same Madison Bumgarner spell the Nats, Buccos, and Redbirds were in as the lefty is looking more like Steve Carlton as we get closer to that parade route for some one!

"Bum" goes a complete job scattering just four hits through nine frames as he struck out eight hitters walking no one. Brandon Crawford has both ribbies in the 2nd on a fielder's choice and and RBI single in the 4th.

Royals starter and Ace James Shields was solid going six allowing eights hits and those two runs orchestrated by Crawford. Royals reliever Wade Davis got himself into a jam in the bottom half of the 8th as Juan Perez doubles scoring Hunter Pence and Pablo Sandoval and Perez advances to third on a throwing error making it 4-0 Gigantes!  Brabdon Crawford continues his night with a run-scoring single scoring Perez from 3rd making it 5-0 Gigantes!

Giants take game five and move up 3-2 in the series as the scene shifts back to K.C. on Tuesday Night October, 28th as it will be Jake Peavy for San Fran against Yordano Ventura for K.C.!

The Chicago Blackhawks get back to business as they ends that weird two-game motel swing where they lost in the Music City to the new Preds and to the rival "Hockey near the Muddy Mississippi" the Blue Notes of the 'Lou!

Behind a Captain Serious score at the beginning of the 2nd frame and a Brent "Brooksie" Seabrook power play goal the Hawks beat the Sens 2-1. It was the coming out party for Lemont, Illinois native Scott Darling stopped 32 of 33 shots on goal to get his 1st professional win.

Darling gave up a short-handed goal in the 2nd to Ottawa's Milan Michalek to tie the game at 1-1 before "Brooksie" scores on the power play. It was a game littered with penalties as there were13 and the Indian Head had five of those 13. The Hawks and I keep saying it must be better on the power play with eight chances going 1 for 6.

Sens net minder Craig Anderson stopped 43 pf 45 shots as his busiest frame was in the 1st and 2nd where he faced 17 shots in each period. Darling faces on onslaught in frame three as the Sens hit him with 16 shots.

The Indian Head moves to 5-2-1 with 11 points and that is good for 2nd in the central a point behind Nashville. The Sens moves to 4-2-1 with 9 points and they are 3rd in the Atlantic.

The Pittsburgh Steelers hearing all the NFL analysts had no shot with the big bad Colts coming in with QB Andrew Luck and that Colts defense. Ok how about this Gift Pack for you doubters...a 51-Piece, Big Ben grabbing "W" 100, the only NFL QB to have 500 yard passing games twice, and the Steelers hung 35 points up on that Colts ""D before intermission!

Big Ben came out firing and if he can stay the course the Steelers offense might just take off to new heights as the AFC north race tightens up. Ben threw for 522 yards on a sizzling 40 for 49 and six in the Colts end zone. He was masterful and in the "Shield" when everyone talks about Peyton and Tom there are a handful of others getting down as well and Big Big in in that mix.

The Cincinnati Bengals almost blew a 17-6 early 3rd frame lead to the Baltimore Ravens as Bengals QB Andy "Strawberry Rifle" Dalton almost gave it away late in the 4th. The Bengals when "Clutch" was called on went 80 yards in ten plays for a Andy Dalton 1-yd TD run and Who Dey escapes the "Jungle on the Ohio" with a 27-24 "W"!

A typical AFC north battle as the Bengals could not pull away from the Ravens who came in 5-2 with the Bengals at 3-2-1. The Ravens came right back after a Bengals eight play 51 yard drive capped by a Giovani Bernard 1-yd TD run put the Bengals up 17-6. Ravens QB Joe Flacco led the Purple Browns on a nine play 79-yard drive ending in a Lorenzo Taliaferro TD run from 10 yards making it 17-12 with the Ravens then converting a two-point conversion making it 17-14.

The Bengals started the 4th with a Mike Nugent FG making it 20-14 and seemingly going to go on another long drive when Ravens NT Haloti Ngata sacked Dalton causing a fumble scooped up by a Ravens backer and moved down the Bengals 10 yard line. The Ravens on the next play gets Taliaferro on a 10 yard TD run making it 21-20 Ravens. Ravens kicked another FG making it 24-20.

The Bengals answered that with that 80 yard drive making it 27-24 as the Ravens almost ha a 80 yard TD strike to Angry Bird Steve Smith Sr. as he was called for offensive pass interference on a TD pass. Bengals now set atop the AFC north at 4-2-1 with the Purpel Browns falling to 2nd place at 5-3.

Everything looked good as Mike Smith and his Falcons looking to get back into the NFC south race was looking real good in the 1st half. With Falcons QB "Matty Ice" at the controls the Falcons went up and down the field on drives of 10 plays 80 yds, 6 plays 56 yards, and a dozen plays covering 89 yards capped by a Steven Jackson 1-yd TD run making it 21-0 Rise Up! Only problem was Rise Up though the game was over and was headed back to London Heathrow International for that red-eye back to Atlanta Hartsfield International and boy were they wrong!

The Lions left for the "Sunday Dead" came out in the 2nd half restoring order and energy and made it more than just a ball game. Led by FG Matt Prater and WR Golden Tate the Lions scored 10 points in the 3rd making it a 21-10 Falcons lead. Rise Up and lead man Mike Smith had to be thinking as bad as things have been here we go down that dark alley.

Prater started the 4th off with another FG making it 21-13. On the ensuing Lions drive after the Falcons punted it back to "Restore the Roar" Lions QB Stafford takes the Lions 69 yards on thirteen plays for a Theo Reddick 5-yd TD pass making it 21-19 as the Lions two-point conversions failed.

The Falcons could sustain a drive to run the clock out as the Lions get the Wilson pigskin back with 1:38 to go in the 4th and final frame and drives 63 yards on eleven plays for a Matt Prater 48-yd game-winning FG as time expired for a 22-21 Lions "W". If those Mike Smith believers were still on board they just jumped off the Titanic 404!

Lions move to 6-2 while the Falcons misery continues falling to 2-6. Lions QB "Staff" threw for 325 yards on 24 for 47 for two TD's and INT. Lions WR Golden Tate hauled in seven pigs for 151 yards with Theo Riddick grabbing eight pigs for 74 yards and a score.

Falcons QB "Matty Ice" was 20 for 27 for 228 yards and two TD's and an INT. Rise Up RB Steven Jackson running on an 1/8 of a tank of 87 octane ran for 60 yards on eighteen carries and a score. Julio and Roddy of the "Peach Drop 3" Rise Up Edition combined for 124 yards on nine grabs but noting in the Lions end zone!

The Green Bay Packers riding a four game win streak hits the Big Easy for NFL week 8 vs the New Orleans Saints. When the schedule first came out it was music to every ones ear as this was a game to highlight. Now we fast forward to week 8 and the Saints are not holding their end of the bargain up.

The Packers are riding high as QB Aaron Rodgers is slicing and dicing folks with targets Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. The Packers "D" is getting better and better as they are getting solid play from that back end from Tramon Williams and Sam Shields along with Safety Morgan Burnett and rook Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

The Saints are struggling in all facets and it's not just Rob Ryan's "D" but the Offense has also left a few plays out there. The bad news is the Saints come in 2-4 and the good news is the Panthers lead the NFC south at 3-3-1. Saints nation slow your roll as there still is a chance or two to get back into the NFC south race. Brees has been Brees but the averaging 25.8 and giving up 27.5...numbers never lie!

Game Outlook:

The Green Bay Packers have been getting after folks as they destroyed the Saints rival Panthers last week in a hurry. QB A-Rog has been on his game after seeing the Bears in NFL Week 4 in Chicago and his targets are pro-bowl worthy in WR Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.

RB Eddie Lacy and James Starks have been a little bit more than just window dressing and they will get it cranked up for the Saints run "D" on Sunday night. Can the Saints who can stop the run (11th at 103 ypg) slow down that Packers passing game as they are giving up 270 ypg (28th)?

The Saints having more issues than one needs to keep A-Rog and that Packers Passing game off the field. The Saints run game has to be on point and they are #13 in the NFL at 123 ypg. Mark Ingram has to be a factor as both Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson are out as that Packers front and secondary is thinking pass and getting after Brees.

Talking passing game the Saints TE Jimmy Graham and Marquis Colston are still doing what they do and it will be 3rd and 4th options Brandin Cooks and Kenny Stills who must make plays opposite of those two. Can the Packers slow down Brees and company in the passing game?

Winner: Packers 38-34 as they go at it A-Rog and Brees...

In World Series game 4 both starters were not around for the 7th inning stretch or to get a decision in Jason Vargas for the Royals and Ryan Vogelsong for the Gigantes. In the end Vogelsong gets bailed out as the Gigantes reach back for some extra hammer time at the dish showing their "Valentine" and resiliency beating the Royals 11-4!

After the Giants scored in the 1st making it 1-0 the Royals jumped all over Vogelsong in the 2rd behind five singles and three free passes they put up a crooked four making it 4-1 K.C.. The Gigantes though chipped away at that lead with Buster Posey hitting a run-scoring single in the bottom half of that inning making it 4-2 K.C.. Vogelsong was done in that inning as the Royals looked to go up 3-1 in the series.

Hunter Pence then gets things started with a run-scoring single in the 5th making it 4-3 Royals. That was followed up by a Juan Perez sac-fly with Hunter scoring and that tied the ball game up at 4-4. From here it was all downhill for K.C. as  "Panda Smash" Sandoval gets a two-run single followed by a Brandon Belt RBI single making it 7-4 Gigantes as San Fran Hardball faithful was feeling a little bit of relief.

Then for insurance San Fran scores a crooked four in the 7th highlighted by two-baggers by both Joe Panik and Hunter Pence. Panik's double score two and Pence's double score a run. Hunter Strickland needing a little confidence gets three outs in the 9th as an Alex Gordon double was sandwiched in between those outs.

Giants tie the Series at 2-2 as we get game 3 Sunday Night with a for sure game 6 back at Kaufmann on Tuesday night.

The Chicago Blackhawks had the right game plan vs the St. Louis Blues and had that plan executed until late in the 2nd period. After the Hawk scored right away as Patrick Sharp gets a one-timer on their 1st power play in frame one making it 1-0 Hawks.

The Blues came back a little over midway through the 1st to tie the score at 1-1 on a Jaden Schwartz. Both teams would settle in after those two goals heading deep onto the 2nd frame as the Blue Notes strike twice under two minutes to go in the 2nd.

It was a tip-in by Ryan Reaves making it 2-1 Blue Notes and then with just six seconds left and a puck that was shot off Hawks net miner Antti Raanta came right to Dmitirij Jaskin for wrister past Raanta making it 3-1 Blues. The Reaves goal was under heavy scrutiny from the Hawks as they though the puck was dead.

Hawks Kris Versteeg got the Hawks closer striking just three minutes into frame 3 but that would be it as the Hawks lose 3-2. Both teams split the eight penalties and it was just mistake at the blue lines and careless forechecking from the Hawks.

Raanta stopped 28 of 31 shots with Blue Notes net minder Brian Elliott halting 22 of 24 shots. The Hawks fall to 4-2-1 with 9 points as the Blue Notes move to 3-3-1 in 2014!

The Indian Head gets the Ottawa Senators on the 2nd leg of a back to back Sunday night October 26th at the Madhouse 7pm ET...
