The OKC Thunder had everything going until the 4th period when the Blazers tightened up on Thunder Mega-Star @kdTREY5 and start executing in the half court like no body's business. Behind their All-Star PF and PG All-Star to be the Blazers end to 2013 like they want to begin the "Fight for Larry" in Mid-April 2014...with a bang!
Behind a 25 pints and fourteen rebound performance from LaMarcus Aldridge aka L-Train and a 21-point and eleven assist game from Damian Lillard the Blazers show once again they are a Team not only in the West but the Logo to reckoned with as we get closer and closer to the All-Star Break. On a bad shooting night the Blazers do what you have to do coming out of the Motel...get Stops, execute in the Half Court offensively, and take care of business from the Charity Stripe and they put a check mark next to all three items. Robin Lopez (12 pts 5 rebs) keep rebounds, Nicolas Batum (15 pts) excellent "D" on KD late, and Wes Matthews (16 pts 7 rebs 7 assts) timely shooting closed out this one.
The Game was in OKC's favor and in the crunch they missed Uncle Russ at the point. PG Reggie Jackson is solid but his inability at times to get KD the Orange in KD's Comfort Zone hurried up their offense on a few possessions and late that cost OKC. KD ended with 37 points, fourteen boards, and three helpers but was non-factor late when it counted. Ibaka had 17 points, Jackson 12 points, and Lamb 10 point as the only four Thunder Players in double figures. OKC shot just 3 of 14 from Arc and under 75% from the FT Line and in the end that played a role in the "L".
The Blazers move to 25-7 and the Thunder fall to 25-6 and get just their 2nd home loss in Thunder Alley. I have a feeling this might be a Western Semis Tilt in early to mid May.

Wall was magnificent as the Pistons Guards could do nothing with him once he got rolling. Wall had 29 points, four boards, and seven assists while attacking the Pistons at every rip. A 14 of 15 from the Charity Stripe also show you how he understands the NBA GAme when you don't let the "D" off the hook and stay in attack mode an at least get to the stripe. The Wiz shot right at 50% from the field and nearly 80% from the line and that put a check mark in the Win Column.
The Pistons Mammoth Front Line led by Greg Monroe's 22 points and ten boards, Andre Drummond's 16 and 16, and Josh Smith aka J-Smoove 5's 16 points, nine boards, and six helpers were not enough. It was the Pistons lack of good FT Shooting as they shot 60% and committed 16 turnovers. The Pistons Guards should no way go from the scheme of Inside/Out with the Bigs they have in the paint. That is a disappointing night from the stripe considering if they shoot 80% they win the ball game or at least send it to OT.

Wall was magnificent as the Pistons Guards could do nothing with him once he got rolling. Wall had 29 points, four boards, and seven assists while attacking the Pistons at every rip. Allen Park, Michigan...6-3 after NFL Week 9 and they were an easy pick to win the NFC North as Packers A-Rog was out so too was Bears Cutler and the Vikes were in the basement. They finish on a torrid 1-6 in their last 7 when they had to go 4-3 or even 3-4 to get into Winning Time. No Discipline across the board, QB Stafford needs to be reeled in as this isn't the Wild Wild West, and that Lions Cup Runneth' Full as the Roster is loaded and oozing with talent.

The one common theme is two of these five teams on this list have QBs in RG3 and Matt Stafford. The other Teams suffered among other things poor QB play. Now of all the teams on this list the most enticing job is the Detroit Lions as they are absolutely loaded on both sides of the Pig they just need stability and direction and not taking shots at ex-Coach Jim Schwartz who I think made the Lions more than relevant in his tenure.

EAGLES 24 COWBOYS 22...Believe It or Not it was the EAGLES "D" not the "O" that put the "BIRDS of Broad Street" in the "FIGHT for GEORGE"...A QB DRIVEN League FOLES vs ORTON was all the Hype #BIRDS #COWBOYS

THUNDER 117 ROCKETS 86...ROCKETS looked and played like they have been in them STREETS...4th game in Five Nights for RED Nation as the REGULATORS take them to A Special Place called "THUNDER ALLEY"...REGULATORS Report OKC "RED Nation was looking to raise the White Flag" ...REGULATORS...Mount Up!

The Rockets get 46 points off their bench and their leading scorer for the night was back up PG Aaron Brooks who led with 17 points while Omri Casspi and Chandler Parsons each added 15 apiece. Shooting a mere 37% from the field and just 25% from the Arc the Rockets had no shot. Lucky for them the Reserves showed up or they would have beat by a 50-piece.

Bosh setting a screen high at the Key for a dribbling left to right Wade County as Wade flips it back and Bosh from Eugene, Oregon sinks it only like Champs do in Winning Time. Bosh ends up with a Monster Night 37 points as he grabbed ten Oranges. Wade County goes 16 points and seven helpers as B-Easy nets 12, Hollywood Cole 11, and Shard Lewis 10 for the Heat. The Heat bench was needed as they responded with a 34-18 advantage as King James sat this one out with a sore groin. The Heat used a 25-19 4th frame to close as they just stayed close enough to make a play to win the game.

They have not been the same team after going into Seattle a month or so ago as they are not the same team when they are not at the Super Dome. A 41-36 lead at the break with Kentucky Star PF Julius Randle leading the way with 17 points as he left in the 2nd half and was a non-factor the rest of the way. The Cards had it tied at 58-58 as Cards Star Guard Russ Smith led the way for the Cards with 19 points as the 'Cats pull away 73-66.

The Kansas City Chiefs after starting 9-0 have tailed off a bit and have been 2-4 since. They are already a lock for the #5 seed in the AFC but they need to take this game vs the Bolts as a Playoff game to get that edge back. No one has been hotter than the San Diego Chargers and their QB Phillip Rivers. The emergence of RB Ryan Mathews and possible Offensive Rook of the Year in WR Keenan Allen has the bolts right on the cusp of getting a "Fight for Lamar" Invite. The Bolts need to win and they will know before game time what's needed as both the Ravens and Dolphins Games will be in the books.
The Chiefs have to play better an they need to somehow find a happy median as both sides of the pig have struggled. The good thing is they have a Top 5 RB in Jamaal Charles. The bad thing is that "D" looks to be a shell of its former Self as there will be no OLB Tamba Hali or Justin Houston in this one. WR Dwayne Bowe is also out as they prepare for the AFC Wild Card.

The San Francisco 49ers almost had to win this game to get into Winning Time if it wasn't for that Navorro Bowman Pick 6 last Monday Night. The Niners now still need to win because if the Saints win they lose the Saints move to #5 seed and Niners fall to #6. The Cardinals just need to win and hope the Saints collapse continues. If the Saints lose the Bird Gang wins...the Bird Gang is in that simple. It looks like there will be a 10-6 or 11-5 NFC Team not making the "Fight for George" Cut.
This will be tough sledding for both Teams Offenses to score in this one as both are equally as good vs the run as they are vs the Pass. The Niners must try to establish the Run Game as that is their strong suit with RB Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter. The Cards on the other hand need to establish their Passing Game as that is their strong suit which means Carson needs Protection. These two teams know each other and they do not like one another. Can the Bird Gang keep QB Carson upright? Will that Niners O-Line create enough Gaps for Gore and Hunter? The Niners know they could knock out two birds with one stone. The Miami Dolphins need the Bengals to beat the Ravens and then they need to take care of the New York Jets with that Top 5 Front led by Rook DT Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson. The Jets have to be thinking we need to spoil this for them being the Dolphins as if we don't go they don't either. Ryan Tannehill and the gang need to focus on what they can control and that is beating the Jets who will be throwing every Blitz at them in their Playbook.
The game will feature the Jets "D" vs the Dolphins "O" and this will be a huge challenge for the Phins. They need to run the Pig behind 2014 Pro Bowl Selection Mike Pouncey and take care of both Richardson and Wilkerson and that is easier said than done. Brady has another magnificent season and it didn't start at well but the 'Best Ever" at QB in the NFL figures it out quickly no matter who is on the other end catching the Pig. WRs like Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, and Rooks like Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson and Brady still remains a Top Threat at QB...enough said.
Brees needed TE Jimmy Graham and Graham delivered as his #1 Target for Years WR Marquis Colston struggled with injuries. Gadget RB Darren Sproles helped the Passing Game as well as Rookie Keeny Still from Oklahoma. Steady Eddy Brees is and having Sean Payton back calling Plays was a lock for Brees to end up as another Pro Bowl Year.
What can I say Manning started with a bang and will end the regular season with a bang. All those Weapons and a new found Run Game behind Broncos former #1 Pick Knowshon Moreno made that Broncos Passing Attack more formidable. 2014 Broncos Pro Bowlers in TE Julias Thomas and WR Demaryius Thomas is a small portion of that Broncos Offensive Attack. Manning the 1st ever to go 50 TDs and 5K plays Yards in a season...Bang!
Cam hasn't come close to his Rookie Campaign but his 3rd season maybe his best body of work yet. No Longer running after his 1st read he is staying in the pocket longer letting his progressions work themselves out. That is a mark of a seasoned Sunday Signal-Caller. WR Steve Smith is still a big-time WR but the emergence of Brandon LaFell and Ted Ginn Jr. along with a solid Run Game behind DeAngelo Williams aided Cam in his development inn 2013.
Russell Wilson has been consistent and the ability to make plays with his Arm and his Legs as well as seeing the play through are his strengths. Having Pro-Bowl RB Marshawn Lynch behind him doesn't hurt but just think if he still had WR Sidney Rice and PR/KR/WR Percy Harvin...these numbers would be even higher.
Rivers has benefited greatly from New Chargers Lead Man Mike McCoy. McCoy has been a god send and Rivers is back to his dominant self in 2013. A year where he lost his two Top WRs as he has depended on TE Antonio Gates and Rookie WR Keenan Allen. Also a better than ever former Bolts 1st round RB Ryan Mathews....butta!

What can I say Manning started with a bang and will end the regular season with a bang. All those Weapons and a new found Run Game behind Broncos former #1 Pick Knowshon Moreno made that Broncos Passing Attack more formidable. 2014 Broncos Pro Bowlers in TE Julias Thomas and WR Demaryius Thomas is a small portion of that Broncos Offensive Attack. Cam hasn't come close to his Rookie Campaign but his 3rd season maybe his best body of work yet. No Longer running after his 1st read he is staying in the pocket longer letting his progressions work themselves out. That is a mark of a seasoned Sunday Signal-Caller. WR Steve Smith is still a big-time WR but the emergence of Brandon LaFell and Ted Ginn Jr. along with a solid Run Game behind DeAngelo Williams aided Cam in his development inn 2013.
Russell Wilson has been consistent and the ability to make plays with his Arm and his Legs as well as seeing the play through are his strengths. Having Pro-Bowl RB Marshawn Lynch behind him doesn't hurt but just think if he still had WR Sidney Rice and PR/KR/WR Percy Harvin...these numbers would be even higher.
Rivers has benefited greatly from New Chargers Lead Man Mike McCoy. McCoy has been a god send and Rivers is back to his dominant self in 2013. A year where he lost his two Top WRs as he has depended on TE Antonio Gates and Rookie WR Keenan Allen. Also a better than ever former Bolts 1st round RB Ryan Mathews....butta!

The San Antonio Spurs come right back after a tough home loss on Christmas Night to the In-State Red Nation Rockets to come right back strong to beat a game Mavs Bunch 116-107. The Spurs had balance and just all hands on deck and that is why they are so tough to defend and coach against because you never know outside of Parker, Duncan, and Ginoboli who is going to have a big night.
