A top three in the NL Cy Young Balloting in 2012 Nats LHP Gio "G2" Gonzalez needs to forget 2013 and the problem is he has about 8-10 more starts in 2013. On a day where Tigers Ace Justin Verlander goes "Vintage "Justin of Comerica" the Nats Gonzalez could do nothing right getting rocked.
The Tigers put a crooked five up in innings two and four and go onto beat he Nats 11-1 as Verlander picks up win #11 against eight defeats. Gio's line was 3 1/3 innings pitched and he allowed ten runs on eleven hits ten runs and gave up two big flies to Tigers back stop Alex Avila (2-run shot) and Torii Hunter (solo HR). That had to be Gio's worst outing ever in the show.
Verlander went six strong allowing one run on four hits striking out six but uncharacteristically walking five Nats Hitters. The Tigers needed to see the Nats as the Tribe is right behind the Tigers having won six in a row as the Tigers have won five in a row.
Torii Hunter had a huge day for the Tigers as he went 4 for 5 knocking in three runs and scoring two runs. Tiger DH Victor Martinez also went 3 for 5 with a ribbie and a run scored.
Reports are Tigers 2013 SS Jhonny Peralta looks to be on the list for PED Suspensions and the Tigers get SS Jose Iglesias as protection if Peralta is indeed on that list and getting suspended.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS are riding high after a reverse of fortune behind the "TRUTH" in QB ANDREW LUCK...now they have to face expectations of possibly getting by the TEXANS in the AFC South....How is that COLTS D looking without FREENEY?...A QB DRIVEN League #COLTSnation #BLUEswagger running on #ChuckStrong
Yes they went out against eventual Big Bowl Champion Purple Browns of Charm City. That QB that went #1 overall answered all the questions as he is dynamic and led the Colts a few game-winning drives. Then there is 2012 Pick at Wide out in T.Y. "Smurf Village" Hilton aka Quicks Smurf surprising everyone on Sunday but the Colts. Is Vick Ballard the answer as ex-interim Lead Man Bruce Arians called him a poor man's Edgerrin James and I wouldn't even go that far. They have not one but two of the best young tight ends in football in Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen. Colts pick up Darius Heyward-Bey and remember is infamous fastest 40 time at the combine a few combines ago. Did that translate to Sunday Tackle Football yet well if it did he would still be playing home games in the Black Hole.
The Defense is where there are more than a few question marks. Imagine this no D-End in Dwight Freeney who they tried to put that 3-4 on him and make him into sometimes playing in space. Cannot teach and old dawg with little explosion left new schemes. They still have Robert "from the Hill...AAMU Fighting Bulldogs" Mathis running off the end and in space as he is 3-4 or 4-3. How fast will 2012 FSU Nole All-American DE/OLB Bjoern Werner come around? That back end maybe the strength which is not good with All-Pro Safety Antoine Bethea. They pick up LaRon "Checks to League Office" Landry to play opposite of Bethea. I like ex-Aqua Boyz 305 Island and Vernon Davis mini-me Vontae Davis (Vernon's younger brother). Can the Colts put all those ingredients together for a perfect AFC South winning Storm?
Key Players
Offense
QB A. Luck (pictured right)
RB Ballard/Brown/Bradshaw (2013 FA Pick Up G-Men)
TE Fleener/Allen
WR Wayne
WR TY Hilton
LT Castonzo
Defense
OLB Mathis (pictured right #98)
DT Ricky Jean-Francois (2013 FA Pick Up 49ers)
OLB Erik Walden (2013 FA Pick Up Packers)
OLB Pat Angerer
CB V. Davis
SS L. Landry
FS Bethea
Bradshaw might help them in the run game if he can get on the field. That O-Line did a fairly decent job protecting Luck in year one. Wayne is the player teams game plan for as he went Reggie "W" circa the "U" on the League in 2012.
Defensively they add Jean-Francois of the 49ers up front and Walden of the Packers at Backer and they needed immediate help on that side of the pigskin. Noles and 2013 Top Pick OLB Bjoern Werner is a monster and can he be as good as advertised in year one? He will learn from one of the best in Robert Mathis and that should pay dividends for him.
Key 2013 Schedule Dates
Sep 22 @ 49ers
Oct 6 vs Seahawks
Oct 20 Broncos
Nov 3 @ Texans
Nov 10 vs Rams
Nov 24 @ Cards
Dec 8 @ Bengals
Dec 15 vs Texans
Dec 22 @ Chiefs
The Schedule isn't all that bad as both the Titans and Jags should be slam dunks at least from the look on paper. That heavy dose of NFC West isn't good for the faint at heart as the Rams and Cards should be no pushover as well especially the Rams.
Projected 2nd in AFC South 9-7...concerned about that Defense...big time!

HOUSTON TEXANS window is closing at least on Offense...the Defense is loaded as they get Mr. CUSHING back into the fold and add ED, EDD, and EDDY at Safety...WR DRE 305 is getting Older and whose opposite of him...A QB DRIVEN League...AFC South News & Notes #TEXANSgang #TEXANSnation #HTownFootball
The Houston Texans must take that next step in the process of becoming an Elite Outfit in the NFL and it starts with QB Matt Schaub. He has all the weapons around him as he needs to start making the plays in the "Clutch" when they present themselves. Arian Foster is a Top Flight Back and arguably the best back opposite of the Twin Cities Avenger #28. They drafted DeAndre Hopkins of Clemson as he has a chance to start opposite of Andre Johnson.
Defensively it starts with JJ. Watt aka "Area 99" and he is a force onto himself. They will be even better with All-Pro Backer Brian Cushing back the Pride of Men of Troy by way of Jersey State Football Power Bergen Catholic. Ja-Jo...CB Johnathan Joseph is an Elite CB and they add Ravens HOF to be Ed, Edd, and Eddy Reed to play alongside highly underrated Safety Daniel Manning. The pieces are there now can they cash in in 2013?

Defensively they should be better especially in the run defense as Cushing is back. What about Ed Reed (pictured below #20) and did the Texans get damaged goods as Reed is still having issues with his Hip and one would hope Ed, Edd, and Eddy will get on the field and be super-productive. Manning is one of the faster Safeties in the League and he could make up for Ed Reed's lack of mobility in some instances as this is a huge development to watch.

RAYS RHP Roberto HERNANDEZ goes Complete Job to beat D-BACKS....BO SOX throttle M's at Fenway...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report...AL East "Top Shelf"
The AL East will go al the way into late September and the last week of the season at the beginning of October. The Rays and Red Sox are getting what most are trading for at the Trade Deadline....Starting Pitching.
Speaking of 60 feet 6 inches from the bump Rays RHP Roberto Hernandez goes complete job to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-2. Hernandez allowed two runs on five hits and struck out six as D-Backs DH Eric Chavez knocked in the two D-Backs runs off Hernandez.
The D-Backs RHP Ian Kennedy went five innings allowing three runs on six hits while striking out seven as Rays SS Yuniel Escobar took Kennedy for a two out Solo Shot in the 4th. The Rays second baseman Ben Zorbrist went 3 for 4 with two ribbies. The Rays still lead the Carmines by a 1/2 game in the AL East. The D-Backs are three games back of the Dodgers and hope to get some help from the Yankees.
Speaking of the Carmines they rolled over the M's at Fenway 8-2 as Red Sox RHP Brandon Workman goes six strong striking out nine and allowing one run. The Bo Sox jumped all over M's Starter Joe Saunders as they put a crooked two and three on Saunders in the first two frames. Sox OF Shane Victorino went 3 for 4 scoring three runs and Ellsbury went Solo Job and Pedroia goes two-run blast. Carmines are also reportedly closing in on Pale Hose RHP Jake Peavy and they need an arm as Clay Buchholz looks to be 50/50 as we head into August Hardball.

BUCCOS are in 1st place after a Walk-Off Single in the 11th...REDBIRDS LYNN and the PEN do the Job as did BURNETT and the PIRATES PEN...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report...#GoBUCCOS #ZOLTANrocks
The Pittsburgh Pirates move into 1st place in the NL Central after a walk-off single in which the hardball ricocheted off Redbirds Pitcher Kevin Siegrist as it looked to be a double-play to beat the Cards 2-1. This is after the Buccos beat the breaks of the Redbirds last night 9-2 to move within a 1/2 game.
Both starting pitchers were on their game as Lance Lynn for the Redbirds went six innings allowing three hits and one run while striking out seven and issuing two free passes. The Redbirds Pen also went pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings when Lynn departed after the sixth.
Pirates Starter A.J. Burnett went seven innings allowing a run on three hits while striking out nine Redbirds Hitters and walking three. The Pirates Pen also did a yeoman's job as they pitched four scoreless innings.
The Hero for the Pirates was Left Fielder Alex Presley as he went 2 for 5 with he walk-off. Redbirds OF Matt Holliday was the only Cards Hitter with a multi-hit game as he went 2 for 5. Lucky for the Redbirds they will play two tonight as Game Two starts in a few as the Redbirds cam become the Redeem Team in One Night.
Game 2 is the Redbirds Lyons (2-3) vs the Buccos Cumpton (0-1).

Pittsburgh STEELERS...TRIPLE DIAMOND CHRONICLES Take 111...who will be the DAY ONE Starting Running Back next to BIG BEN versus Music TITANS...Le'VEON, RED Dawg, or Junk Yard DWYER? #STEELERgang #MenOfSTeel #STEELERSnation
The Competition will heat up as it did when the pads came on as the Steelers went through their patented Running Backs on Backers Drill with hot-shot Rooks with RB Le'Veon Bell of Sparty and OLB @SacManJones_29...Jarvis Jones going against each other four times and from reports Coach Tomlin called it 2-2...Hmmmmm!
Now moving to the real battle is the Steelers and Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley want One Running Back they can count on from Day One and none of that playing the hot hand as there is no continuity. The Backs that will most likely be in the hunt as we near Pre-Season Game 1 and that first September Match Up vs CJ2k, Locker, and Chance and the Gang for the Tennessee Titans.
#27 Jonathan Dwyer aka JY Dwyer...he has lost some 20-25 el bees and look really good. He is explosive at the point of attack and for a big man has those quick feet like that ex-Steeler HOF Back Jerome Bettis of the Motor City. The down side is he needs to improve is pass-catching ability.
#26 Le'Veon Bell Steelers knew exactly who they wanted when they let former 1st rounder Shard Mendenhall walk. Bell has to be the favorite but don;t count out Dwyer.
...he was a monster in the Big Ten but all that was college. When you put on the tape he is never going backwards which is a good thing and Bell is a complete back as he has excellent pass-catching abilities. He is fast on the 2nd level for a big back and the
#33 Isaac Redman aka REDdawg....the best 3rd down back on the Steelers Roster as he is not explosive but has great vision. I could see RED Dawg as the 3rd down back in a lot of instances as he can get it done and it would be a nice change of pace from Dwyer and Bell. He Looks like he is situational back more than anything but RED Dawg is dependable.
#34 Larod Stephens-Howling...aka "the Howling" a 2013 FA Pick up from the Bird Gang and he is in the mix but at 5'7" and just south of 190 el bees it maybe insurance and Special Teams for Stephens-Howling. I think he could also be an asset maybe in the Kicking Game with his nifty speed and elusiveness for the ex-Pitt Panther Star.

CAROLINA PANTHERS will again be at the Bottom of the NFC South but the Division will soon start to look like the NFC WEST...Top Heavy...the Trio of Backers in KUECHLY & BEASON & DAVIS are "MONSTERS Inside QBs" and did CAM and WR SMITTY get WR Help?..A QB DRIVEN League... #PANTHERSbiz #PANTHERSnation
The Carolina Panthers stuck with Lead Man Ron Rivera and rightfully so as he is a defensive mind an that defense will start to show its promise in 2013. The Panthers get a "STAR" literally and figuratively speaking and a steal in round one when Runnin' Utes DT Star Lotulelei fell to them at pick 14. Second round pick Kawann Short might be a stretch that high on the board but we will see how it plays out. Coach Rivera just trying build that Defense from inside out an that's the way to do it. They picked up two Wide outs in Free Agency in Ted Ginn Jr from the 49ers and Domenik Hickson from the G-Man but is that enough for QB Cam and Steve Smith? The Division is loaded as the Falcons and Bucs and the Saints will battle it out bit do not count out the Panthers in 2013 something tells me.
Key Players
Offense
QB Cam
RB J. Stewart/D. Williams
WR S. Smith...LaFell, Ginn, Hixson
TE Greg Olsen
C R. Kalil
LT J. Gross

Defense
NT Star Lotulelei
DE G. Hardy
DE C. Johnson
ILB Beason/Kuechly/Davis (pictured l to r)
SS C. Godfrey
CB J. Norman
Watch for Rookies RB Kenjon Barner and ILB AJ Klein as well 2013 Free Agent Pick Up in former Met Life Blue Backer Chase Blackburn.
Offensively the Panthers have weapons that are big-time Sunday Performers counting WR Steve Smith and that RB Tandem of Jon Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Can Cam go to LaFell, Ginn Jr., or even Hixson when Smith is covered as he is slowing down a tad bit? The O-Line should be solid as Center Ryan Kalil needs to stay healthy and they have bookend OT Jordan Gross.
Defensively it will start and end with those two "Monsters Inside QBs" Backers in Luke Kuechly (2012 NFL Leading Tackler) and Jon Beason and you throw in UGA's Thomas Davis. These three
gentleman will create havoc as they will on the field together for the first time as Beason was done in Week 2 last season. DT Star Lotulelei if he is as good as advertised the Panthers might be able to make a move north in the NFC South. Johnson and Hardy are underrated but when playing hard they can be a factor. The Defense should be a Top 15 as I worry about that back end and the corners.
Key 2013 Schedule Dates

This has to be one of the top three most difficult schedules in 2013 and just looking at it the Panthers might be doomed. They will improve in areas they have to but the most important area is the "W" Column and Lead Man Rivera seat is luke-warm as we go to press.
Projected 4th in NFC South 6-10 w/ that difficult schedule!

"DEEEEEEEEEEtroit Basketball"...LOGO WATCH Authorized Personnel...the PISTONS through reports have struck GOLD in getting the "BEER Town LEFTY" in PG BRANDON JENNINGS for the PISTONS "KNIGHT Rider" in PG Brandon KNIGHT in a Sign and Trade #PISTONSbiz #BUCKSbiz
The Bluedude has been waiting from the start of Free Agency in where is Bucks Point God Brandon "Beer Town Lefty" Jennings going to go to. His 2012-13 back court mate "Mississippi Lightning" Monta Ellis left $11 million on the table to get to a better situation in the Mavs but not necessarily a "Fight for Larry" Situation. Now finally Jennings is on the move as the Pistons and Joe Dumars trike again.
Through numerous Media Outlets the Detroit Piston have struck a deal to send Point Guard Brandon "Knight Rider" Knight to the Milwaukee Bucks (Sign and Trade) and two little-used forwards in Khris Middleton and Viacheslav Kravtsov for the right to Bucks Point Guard Brandon Jennings. Now the Pistons are really heading north and the NBA Central will be crowded at the top. Reports are that B-Jennings has agreed to except a 3 year $24 million deal to become a Piston.
Now looking at the Pistons once again as they shift in the Starting Rotation for 2013-14:
PG B-Jennings
2G Stuck
SF J-Smoove 5
PF Greg Monroe
C Mr. Drummond of the D
Remember they also acquired Mr. Big Shot to teach the Guards and Sheed to help the Big Men and those two pick ups might be better than actually picking up the Players. New Bucks Lead Man tried to get Hawks PG Jeff Teague and he didn't but he wasn't going to have Jennings leading his new group so the Bucks make a trade to get Jennings off their roster.
Bulls, Pacers, and the New Cavs here comes Deeeeetroit Basketball!

BRONX Bombers head to of all Places "CHAVEZ Ravine" to take on "A Red-Hot DODGERS Blue"....the CAPTAIN n SORIANO vs "CUBAN Missile" PUIG, HANLEY, CLAYTON, and A-GON among others...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report "NOSTALGIA Series 2K13" #YANKSbiz #LADbiz
It's only two games but the New York Yankees and L.A. Dodgers lock gloves in Chavez Ravine with two teams going in different directions. The Yanks are fourth in the AL East as we go to press with plenty of work to do not only to pass the O's but to catch the AL East leading Tampa Bay Rays with the Carmines 1/2 game behind them.
The Dodgers have been on fire since they took in on June 22nd. The streak has involved a Puig and Hanley Ramirez that's playing "lights out", Pitching led by Kershaw and Greinke, and an attitude that we are the hunted not the hunter. The Dodgers keep at that almost .700 Hardball Pace the West will be won in the 2nd week of September. Now comes a two game set to maybe get the Yanks going.
BRONX Bombers @ DODGERS 2-Piece from Chavez Ravine
July 30, 2013 10:10pm ET
NYY Pettitte (7-8) vs LAD Greinke (8-3)
July 31 2013 10:10pm ET
NYY Kuroda (10-6) vs LAD Kershaw (10-6)
Unfortunately for the Yankees they get to see the Top Two on the Dodgers Staff in Kershaw and Greinke. Both Pettitte and Kuroda (the Yankees best 2013 Pitcher) must give the Yanks a chance as that Dodgers Line Up has been annihilating opposing pitching through this current stretch. If it gets to the closers the Yanks have the edge of course...the Sandman...Mo!

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS have just Football to focus on in 2013 instead of the "Bounty Scandal" and look whose back on the Sideline...Lead Man SEAN PAYTON with New D-Coordinator ROB RYAN and they have some work to do but there are pieces everywhere...A QB DRIVEN League...Is WHO DAT better than the BIRDS and BUCS in the South? #WhoDat #NOLASaints #GeauxSaints
The New Orleans Saints come in 2013 with a huge chip on their shoulder and something to prove as they fell off in 2013 for various reasons. One big reason was no Lead Man Sean Payton on the sideline to navigate them through the Offensive Playbook. Secondly the Defense was atrocious to say the least. Now Payton is back Brees is happier and New Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan is in NOLA to give Who Dat some good 'ole Voo Dat on that defensive side of the pigskin. With the Falcons (and TIP) the "King of the South" and the Buccaneers loading up in Free Agency would it be safe to say the Saints are the 3rd best in their own division?
Key Players
Offense
QB Brees
WRs Colston/Moore
OGs Grubbs/Evans
RBs Thomas, Sproles, Ingram
Defense
DT John Jenkins (2013 3rd Rd Pick)
OLB Martez Wilson
ILB C. Lofton
OLB W. Smith (converting from DE)
SS Kenny Vaccaro (2013 1st Rd Pick)
CB Keenan Lewis (2013 FA Pick Up from Steelers)
FS M. Jenkins
SS R. Harper
Offensively Brees and the Boys will put up numbers they always do but can they get a stout running game that will put them inside that Top 16. Moore and Colston will be asked to do a lot as Devery Henderson and Bobby Meachem have both departed in the last two seasons. OG Ben Grubbs of the Ravens comes over to bolster that interior of the O-Line. Watch Rookie WR Kenny Stills of Boomer Sooner as he might be that 3rd Slot WR if he can beat out Chris Givens and Courtney Roby.
Defensively this is where it actually starts and ends and I will tell you this they are switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 and that takes time. The Personnel the Saints have is more suited form more 4-3 than 3-4 but they drafted huge NT John Jenkins from "Between the Hedges U" Georgia. They also took with the #15 pick in Round 1 Kenny Vaccaro the best Safety on the board. A crushing blow was losing 2013 FA Pick Up and OLB Victor Butler to an ACL as if that happened before the draft they might have taken UGA OLB Jarvis Jones with the 15th pick as he went to the Steelers at #17. Will the Saints D be better than 2012 and would venture to say yes but how much better?

PRICE n RAYS go back into FENWAY and grab that "W"...RED SOX fall to 2nd place...can the RAYS run the table and I know it's early...#AnothetrManicMondayHardball Recap 3 #TBbiz #ALEastBiz
The Rays for the most part took care of business beating the Red Sox and Yankees two out of three and had to go back for a make-up game in that four-game set in the Hub.
After 7 1/3 innings of two his hardball and allowing one run Rays LHP David Price gets another "W" from the Carmines and just last week he beat them and the Carmines have to be thinking put that dude back on the DL. Price struck out eight Red Sox Players and gave up a Solo Shot to Brandon Snyder and that was all the Red Sox would get off of Price. Rays Hot Corner Evan Longoria led the Ray going 2 for 5 but left three ducks on the pond. Rays RBI's were from Wil Myers and Sean Rodriguez.
The Carmines Starter Felix Doubront went five innings allowing eight hits and two runs issuing three free passes as he strike out four. The Carmines Relievers did their job pitching with four scoreless innings. Rays Closer Fernando Rodney gets the save but not after Rays LF Sam Fuld threw out Red Sox Pinch-Runner Dan Nava at the dish in the eighth inning to preserve the lead heading into the 9th.
Rays a 1/2 game up on Red Sox with O's and Yankees in the neighborhood but not on the same block.

BUCCOS roll credits on the Baseball Town USA and dem' REDBIRDS early and cruise behind ALVAREZ and LHP LIRIANO...look whose a half game out of 1st in the NL Central #AnotherManicMondayHardball Recap 2 #PIRATESbiz #NLCentralBiz
It's one of 162 but as of right now the St. Louis Cardinals just need that letter "W" in the Alphabet like its "Wheel of Fortune" to solve the puzzle. They limped into a five-piece with a side of "Let's play Two" versus the 2nd place Pirates and things are getting dicey. So what do the Pirates do to get the 'Burgh Faithful into the act...jump on Redbirds Starter Jake Westbrook in the 1st frame and that's all Pirate Starter Francisco Liriano needed.
The Buccos go four in the first inning and a huge crooked five in the seventh inning to get us Sports Fans Favorite Lady signing and she wasn't singing a rendition of "Take me out to the Ball Game". Behind that Pirates Offense was a 3-run blast by 2013 All-Star and Buccos Hot Corner Pedro Alvarez and he was followed by Pirates Short Stop Clint Barmes 2 for 4 with two ribbie night.
Back to Redbirds Starter Westbrook he was touched up for four runs in five innings on four hits and the big blow came in the first inning to Alvarez that three-run blast. The Buccos Liriano needed juts that three-run blast as he went seven innings and allowed one run on four hits walking two Redbirds and striking out eight. He moves to 11-4 in 2013 and Westbrook falls to 7-5.
The Central is separated now by a 1/ game lead by the Cards and the 3rd place Red Legs are just 4 1/2 back and that is what you call the best division in the NL.
They play a Twilight Double-Header on Tuesday and if you win two you double your impact in the "W" Column!

Newly-Acquired RHP GARZA of the RANGERS gets bailed out by the Two SOLO Bombs in the bottom of the 9th as TEXAS beats HALOS 4-3....HALOS Reliever FRIERI's 3rd Blown Save in 28 chances...."HALOS Misery has no Company" #AnotherManicMondayHardball Recap 1 #RANGERSbiz #ALWestBiz
The Texas Rangers came in six games back of Oakland A's in the west and they are in a delicate situation as the A's could blow this thing wide-open. Well the Rangers Newly-acquired RHP Matt Garza of the North Siders pitched well except in the 5th inning where he gave the Halos three runs. Garza went seven innings giving up three runs on five hits while striking out six. He left the game on the hook as the loser as the Halos were up 3-1 after seven.
Enter Halos Captain-Save-A-Game Ernesto Frieri who was coming in 25/27 saves and a 3-2 lead. First man he faces was Rangers DH A.J. Pierzynski obviously looking for something he could handle for a souvenir and he got it....3-3 an in the Seats. Two outs later with the score tied up and everyone thinking Extras ex-Cubs Back Stop Geovany Soto goes walk-off job and the "Halos Misery has no Company" continues. Imagine that the Halos get beat by a former North Sider and South Sider in the ninth. The Rangers move a 1/2 game up to 5 1/2 back as the Halos need the Coast Guard to get back into the race some 13 1/2 out and 4th in the AL West behind the M's. Garza is off the hook for the loss as Ranger reliever Jason Frasor gets the "W". Halos mess up a more than solid outing from Ace RHP Jered Weaver.
Can a trio of Japanese Star Yu "I will Survive" Darvish, Derek Holland, and Matt Garza get hot and carry the Rangers to an AL West Crown?

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS threw Duffel Bags in all directions and bought an ISLAND and a High-End SAFETY and was that enough to get them past the FALCONS or in the "Fight for VINCE" Tourney...#BUCSnation #ItsABucsLife #FIREtheCannons #CampSCHIANO
Have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers arrived in the NFC South and can you put them in the same breathe of the Falcons or even the Saints in 2013? The Big Pirate Ship Owners, The Glazers, spent a nice chunk a change to get Bucs Lead Man Schiano a few New Toys like Revis Island and my dude Dashon @theHawk38 Goldson among other pieces. Can Bucs QB Josh Freeman take that next step to put him in that Top 10 QB Class on Sunday" Will the "Muscle Hamster" come out of his cage with no Sophomore Slump? I know this that Defense and that Secondary will be "Too Legit to Quit" and forget Hammer Time...#ItsABucsLife.

Offensively the Bucs are right there as WR V-Jack and Williams tore up Secondaries but it still all goes back to Freeman an ho he performs. Boise State's by way of the East Bay RB Doug "Muscle Hamster" Martin went off his Freshman Season and what will he do for encore as he is a Hybrid Ray "Charm City Express #27" Rice with 2nd level hyper warp speed. The O-Line is intact and the only concern is 2013 Free Agent Pick-Up Gabe Carmimi for the Bears as he is penciled opposite of the strong side of that Bucs O-Line starting with Penn and Nicks. #rd Wide out is another huge question as there is a lack of quality depth as they did pick up ex-Cowboy WR Kevin Ogletree.
Defensively this is where the Bucs where make their mark in 2013 as they should be ferocious. DT Gerald McCoy is finally living up to his lofty expectations as is DE Adrian Clayborn from Kinnick Stadium Lore. They have a Top 10 Tackler in 2nd year Backer Lavonte David of Big Red Lincoln who is the other side of Panthers Stud Backer Luke Kuechly. Then you have that retooled Secondary led by 2013 FA Pick Up from the Niners FS Dashon @theHawk38 Golson who is very underrated and checks are already in the mail headed to League Office as we go to press. He has 2nd year stud SS Mark "Robber" Barron of 'Bama and Revis Island if he is healthy for Week 1. They will go with opposite of Revis Island the 2012 Jim Thorpe Award Winner Top 2013 Pick Mississippi State CB Jonathan Banks and he was a 2nd round pick with definite 1st round talent.

The NL Central Race just got interesting with the Redbirds coming out of Atlanta checking what's left of their backside after getting swept by the Braves. The Buccos didn't fare much better as they go to Miami and get hit by Marlins as the Pirates lose two of three. Now the Redbirds lead is just 1 1/2 games as they now encounter a long stay on Three Rivers as they either leave Town up in the Central or in second. The Buccos know now is the time to grab the NL Central and with five straight vs the Division leader winning 4 or or a sweep is on the agenda and nothing else to make a move.

ATLANTA FALCONS were a play or two away from getting to the "FIGHT for VINCE" now they reload and go for all the Marbles...A QB DRIVEN League "DIRTY BIRDS" Biz #MattyIce #PeachDrop3 #RiseUp
The Atlanta Falcons are right there and they know it as they lock up their Franchise QB Matt Ryan for 5-years extension north 103 Large. They also get rid of an old core in DE John Abraham (122 Career Red Jersey Collections), CB Dunta Robinson, and RB Michael "Burner" Turner. The Dirty Birds add DE Osi Umenyiora and RB Steven Jackson and they should fit right in the Falcons schematically on both sides of the Wilson Pigskin. Can they get to the "Fight for Vince" as the NFC Powerhouses are the Seahawks, 49ers, along with the Falcons?

Defensively it starts up front with Babineaux and the ultra-athletic Biermann and now they add Umenyiora from the G-Men. Backers Sean Weatherspoon is the most important player on that front and he is the unquestioned leader for the Falcons. The Rookie CB Desmond "Bloodline" Trufant looks to be the opening day starter and he will be opposite of the "Gambler" Ashante Samuel. Al that is backed up by a Top 5 Safety Duo in Moore and DeCoud. Now the Red Sox went to Camden and took two of three from the O's while the Rays took two of three from the Yanks in the Bronx Zoo. Since the Rays are still near Boston and both teams have an off day they will make up that game lost in their previous series between the two today at Fenway. This game isn't a make or break but for the Red Sox it is more important for them to play better and beat the Rays as they Rays were handling them a few day ago. The Rays will have David Price on the mound and they must get to him in the early frames or hope for rain. Doubront has pitched well but he has to be hoping for early run support.
Players to watch...
RAYS
OF Wil Myers .328 7 HR 26 RBI...carried the Rays the other day in the Bronx and almost beat them by himself as he is some talented offensive player
CARMINES
DH Big Papi .329 20 HR 67 RBI....has been dominant at the dish and he and Bo Sox Back Stop Napoli have become a nice run-producing 1-2 punch for Bean Town Hardball
It's this simple the Rays win they go up a 1/2 game on the Red Sox...the Sox win they go up 1 1/2 games up on the Rays

PUIG to the Rescue for "A Whole New Blue"...Swingin' ATHLETICS spot HALOS five early then go AL West leading Crazy for all that's worth..."GET AWAY" Day Take 4 "WEST COAST Fusion" #AsBiz #DODGERSbiz
There had to be a loser in this one but both starters in Red Legs Tony Cingrani and Dodgers Chris Cuapano both get game balls for there attempts to give their squads the best chance to win. They leave the Bump with goose eggs on the board as Cingrani had a season-high eleven strike outs. Both Pens held up and then in the bottom half of the 11th guess who sent everyone down the 405 or an LA Freeway near you...Yasiel Puig goes Walk-Off Job for the game-winner.
The Red Legs Starter in Cingrani and Relievers struck out twenty Dodgers ..2...Zero and have nothing to show for it but a loss. The Reds were a combined 3 for 35 and the Dodgers 5 for 35 so this one was a pitchers dream. The Dodgers lead the NL West by 2 1/2 and the D-Backs or Rockies need to put the brakes on them before they runaway with the Division. Meanwhile the Reds are just five out in the Central thanks to Fish and Braves doing work over the weekend.
The Oakland Athletics are slowly but surely moving into that countdown you know the one in September that puts teams in the "Fight for October" Tourney. The Halos have everything going wrong for them in 2013. The Halos go up 5-0 after two innings only to see the A's finish out on a 10-1 run to take three out of four from the Halos and the AL West lead to six full games just like that as the Rangers have lost four in a row. To make matters worse for the Halos "El Hombre" Albert Pujols may be out for the rest of 201 with a foot problem and that might seal the Halos fate.
A's OF and 2013 HR Derby Champ Yoenis Cespedes led the A's with a 3 for 4 performance including four ribbies. A's Starter Jarrod Parker went five innings after a horrendous first two frames. Halos Starter Tommy Hanson and J.C. Guiterrez didn't fare much better as they gave up a combined a 9 runs as Parker only gave up six. Can anyone stop the A's moving forward in the west as it looks like it only up to the Rangers.

How 'bout them "WEEKEND BENDERS" with a BROOM and DUST Pan...REDBIRDS get Swept...CUBBIES Sweep...How about them RAWLINGS Hardballs.."GET AWAY" Day Take 3 #BRAVESbiz #NorthSidersBiz
Yes if you would have told the Bluedude there will be a time after All-Star Break that the St Louis Cardinals will get swept and the Chicago Cubs will sweep in that same span I would've told you head to "Last Call" then we go over this again.
The Atlanta Braves made it happen as they sweep the Redbirds in three games as they dominated the series and just like the MLB Gods will order a rematch except for all the Rawlings Hardballs not just a three-piece at the end of July more like in the "Fight for October".
The Braves have started to hit and we know they can pitch and for once in 2013 all that has come to fruition and they are locked in as the Phightin' Phils and Nats might as well fight for the NL Wild Card like they didn't know that anyway. The Cards still lead the Central by 1 1/2 over the Buccos. The Braves are starting to open a huge gap in the NL East and lead the Nats by seven as that NATitude is starting to resurface but is it too late for the Nats?
The Chicago Cubs GM Theo Epstein has a plan and no one is jumping on the North Side of Chi City but the Cubbies are looking a helluva a lot better than thy have looked in at least three to four years and lookout. They go in an sweep the defending World Champs who at this point in the season are a shell of #OrangeOctober as they hope to get to October. The Cubs have done it with surprisingly Starting Pitching and a solid pen and that just doesn't happen on the north side of the 'Go commonly referred to as Wrigleyville.
As we go to press the Cubbies are 14 plus games out but but only seven games from the .500 mark...and Imagine That....North Siders Optimism and it has to do with that New Jumbo Tron going up in left field...right and some Cubs Revenue stream? Gigantes hang in there but the Bluedude going slide piece in the dirt on a 3-2 offering as you get a Free Pass in 2013 with Two Chips in the last four years...who else in the NL West has tasted SHAMP-PAG-NA and had not one but two Ticker Tape Parades downtown...Keep it movin' NL West!

DENVER NUGGETS Biz...LOGO WATCH "Authorized Personnel Only"...NUGS lose IGGY n BREW but they reload under New Lead Man B-SHAW from the Town...NUGS 2013-14 playing 5,280 Feet above SEA LEVEL Outlook #MileHighNUGS
Yes the Bluedude is at again with 1st ever installment of the "Logo Watch Authorized Personnel" featuring in-depth looks at the NBA's Teams Rosters and Players. Right now it's all about the Denver Nuggets as they revamp their 2013-14 Team and on paper it is even more loaded than the 2012-13 version with New Lead Man Brain Shaw as he brings a wealth of NBA Knowledge and not just the Zen Master Phil Jackson Basketball Ideologies. Shaw fell right into the Nugs Laps and they should be a team in serious consideration for a Top 4 finish in the west possibly a Top 3 finish.
The Nugs lose Iggy if Mile High to the Dubs in East Bay and Corey Brewer aka C-Brew Caffeinated to the 10K Lakes Boyz and that's ok. What they id in return was quietly reload in positions of need where they could afford to lose Iggy n C-Brew. Let's take an In-Depth Look at Bugs Biz that started out like the Broncos Gaffe vs the Purple Browns in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game losing GM Ujrir and Lea d Man Karl.
2013 Free Agent Pick-Ups
SF/PF Darrell Arthur from Grit & Grind Memphis....couldn't get any minutes as the Grizz were loaded at the four and Arthur is more of a Power Forward than Small Forward. He can play but really never got his chance in Memphis and now he will. Excellent Finisher and Mid-Game to suit his very good glass-eating tendencies.
PF/C J.J. Hickson from the Rip City Blazers...one of the more under appreciated players in the Logo as he is a tenacious rebounder and effort guy and more of an athlete than what you might think. He compliments the MANimal Faried and Javale perfectly as well as playing with Arthur and Mozgov.
PG KRYPTOnate Robinson from See Red...another one of those players like Arthur and Hickson carrying a chip on their shoulder and he fits perfectly when Shaw needs to get Nugs Point God Ty Lawson a Sports Drink Break. Nate should provide instant offense but they need him to push the Orange and get it to all those high-flying finisher the Nugs have on the wings and in the paint.
Combo Randy "Foye Boy" Foye from Slat Palace Jazz...can play both guard positions and can stretch the floor with his better than average Money Ball. Foye should start at that off-guard slot for the Nugs with Chandler at the small forward. He can play and defend as well as get out in transition as its a another solid piece for the Nugs. "Foye Boy" is his Nike Basketball Handle and that is your 5,280 feet above Ocean Water look of the day from the Bluedude.
C Timofey Mozgov...A true big and the Russian should pay big dividends with all those athletes around him as his job is to play "Big" and rebound and defend the goal.
NUGS Depth Chart
PG...LAWdawg, Andre Miller, KRYPTOnate
SG...Foye Boy, Evan Fournier
SF...W. Chandler, Jordan Hamilton, Q-Miller, Danilo
PF...the MANimal, Slim Shady Arthur, A. Randolph,
C....Javale, Mozgov, JJ
Just looking at the Roster show me a better one 1-10...you can't and won't find one as we look at the Bluedude's Projected NUGS Rotations from Starters to 2nd Line Check-In....
PG Ty Lawson
SG Foye Boy
SF Chandler
PF the Manimal
C Mozgov

NUGS Nation and NBA West lookout as the New NUGS are back and better than 2012-13!
the CAPTAIN goes DEEP in First A.B....SORIANO goes "BIG FLY"...Ohhh the BRONX ZOO Magic and they need more of it ASAP....YANKS beat RAYS 6-5 to stop Skid!...#RAYS OF MYERS goes O-ZONE Layer "GET AWAY" Day Take 2 "#2 is Back and SORIANO Strikes" #NYYbiz #RAYSbiz
The New York Yankees came in today's game eight back of the Rays and they had to show themselves and the Rays that they can beat them before they leave town. Well nine innings later after the Captain Jeter went deep in his first A.B. of the game and Newly acquired Alfonso Soriano goes two-run blast the Yanks get themselves a much-needed "W" 6-5.
What was even more impressive the Bombers beat 14 game-winner Matt Moore and chased him after five innings as he gave up five runs on eight hits walking three and only striking out two. The Captain #2 was 2 for 4 with a Solo Blasts he also scored two runs and all of that goes down for Yankees Faithful as "Jeter being Jeter. Alfonso Soriano in just his 3rd game back in Pinstripes got inn on the act with a two-run blast in the 3rd off Moore and take that Brain Cashman who reportedly didn't want to give up one of the Yanks Top Pitching Prospects Corey Black to the Cubs to get Soriano but was waved off big big cheese upstairs. That big cheese Hal Steinbrenner. Hal better be right because with just acquiring Soriano I don't see the Yanks catching the Rays or Carmines. I also give credit to the Bombers as they are not thinking about 2014 as 2013 is yet to be over and that's how they do it in the Bronx hence 27 Chips.
The Rays nearly pulled it off as Rookie Prospect Will Myers nearly beat the Yanks by his lonesome. Myers took Hughes Yard twice with a three-run bomb and a solo blast. Myers was 2 for 4 with four ribbies and three runs scored. Longoria, Loney, and Johnson also had a multi-hit game.
The Yankees are 7 1/2 back of the Carmines who take over 1st place as Rays lose. Bombers have plenty of work to do and August Hardball starts Thursday.

SUNDAY TALK with an Unfortunate INJURY Report from BIRDS and PURPLE Browns Camp as well as UNITED in ORANGE Mile High...#EAGLESbiz #RAVENSbiz #BRONCOSbiz
The downside of going through Camp and a four-game exhibition schedule is the chance for Injury but that is with everything. Teams just hope when Injury occur they are just tweaks and strains compared to season-ending or of the PUP List variety. Well that worst of the worst came out of Eagles and Ravens Camp yesterday and now through various media outlets the Broncos newly acquired Center Dan Koppen may have a torn ACL...and the Injury Big could derail Playoff Hopes quickly to key personnel.
Bird Camp Philly...WR Jeremy "J-Mac" Maclin torn ACL out for 2013....15 gms 69 receptions 857 yds 7 TDs
The Eagles still have weapons but you want as many game-breakers as possible and J-Mac is that. In Chip Kelly's New Offense the Run will be more productive than anything and they have Shady McCoy in that backfield. They still have DeSean Jackson, dependable chain mover Jason Avant, and Tight End Brent Celek. This is a huge blow for the Eagles and now those three players mentioned work load just got bigger.
Purple Browns Camp Owen Mills, MD...TE Dennis "#100 in NFL's Top 100 of 2013" Pitta...16 gms 61 receptions 661 yds and 7 TDs
He is the most Versatile WR/TE they have and figured ion the Ravens Offensive Game Plan largely and that a huge blow considering WR Anquan Boldin is no longer in Ravens Duds. Pitta was also QB Flacco's Safety Net along with RB Ray Rice on 3rd Down and a mis match waiting to happen for Backers. The Ravens are really good at replacing Players but no matter who they get now he cannot and will not spell Pitta.
Preliminary Reports out of Broncos Camp are that 2013 Free Agent pick up Center Dan Koppen has a possible torn ACL and we will have to wait and see. Koppen was picked up due to Broncos projected starting center J.D. Walton had Ankle Surgery. Centers are huge on any offensive line as they call out all the Plays in Protections along with the QB.

TRIBE Jimenez back to Vintage ROCKIES Jimenez as he stifles the RANGERS at the JAKE..."GET AWAY" Day Take 1...TRIBE chasing down TIGERS #TRIBEbiz #JIMENEZbiz
The Texas Rangers are picking a bad time to lose games as they are falling further and further behind the Oakland A's in the West. The Tribe have "Tunnel Vision" as they are chasing down the Tigers with no pressure.
The Tribe sweep the three piece at the "Jake" and all of a sudden the Tribe's Pitching Staff is following Ace Justin Masterson's lead as RHP Ubaldo Jimenez throws a gem in shutting put the Rangers 6-0. Jimenez went eight innings allowing two hits and giving up three free passes while striking out six. The Rangers have officially hit a bump in the road and they must start hitting as Darvish and Holland can't go to the hill every 3rd day.
The Indians 2013 Free Agent Pick Ups played a big role in this one as CF Michael Bourn goes 1 for 4 but knocks in two and score a run. First Baseman Nick Swisher goes 3 for 5 and All-Star second baseman Jason Kipnis was 2 for 4. Tribe Pinch-Hitter Mike Aviles hit a two-run bomb and that was off Rangers 3rd pitcher of the day Ross Wolf as Rangers Starter Alexi Ogando only gave up one run through 4 2/3. It wasn't that he was pitching bad but when he exited before the end for the 5th he had a pitch count at 92 pitches.
With the Tigers winning the Tribe will end today still three games back in the AL Central. The Rangers fall 5 1/2 back in the AL West with the A's looking to take three of four from the Halos tonight.

MIGGY Cabrera is from another Planet and so is Teammate "Mad MAX beyond COMERICA" as they both combined with the other TIGERS to "SKUNK" the Phightin' PHILS 10-0...When "WEEKEND BENDERS" go wrong! #TIGERSbiz #MIGGYnMAXbiz
The Detroit Tigers were sure glad to see their Super Star back inn the line up but no one was more happier than 14 game-winner and Tigers RHP Max Scherzer who dominated the Phils after getting huge run support early.
"Mad Max beyond Comerica" (commonly referred to at bluedude sportstalk by) went just six innings allowing one hit and striking out seven Phillies. When Scherzer left in the 6th it was already 10-0 as the 'Phils couldn't hit anything. Tiger Skip Jim Leyland knowing Mad Max was going to get the win allowed him to go six then pulled him to save that Arm and Innings.
The Offense was provided by that whole Tigers Line-up but it was Miggy Cabrera's first game back. The Tigers Hot Corner went 2 for 3 with 3 Ribbies and scored 2-runs and included in that Offensive Show was his first A.B. where he took 'Phils Starter Raul Valdes "Yard" for #32 on the Year. O's first baseman Chris Davis has yet to hit a Bomb after All-Star Break and he needs to pack it in because here comes "Miggy of the D".
Both Torii Hunter (3 for 4 w/ 2 runs scored and an RBI) and Victor Martinez (3 for 4 w/2 RBI and a run scored) helped Miggy and played a huge hand into the Tigers Massacre of the 'Phils.
As we go to press the Tigers are three games ahead of the Tribe in the Central. The Phils are ten back and should be very busy the next few days fielding calls at the MLB Trade Deadline as everyone wants LHP Cliff Lee.

LOGO WATCH with a BIRD Watch of GOLD SWAGGER playing BLUE-COLLAR is going for the CHIP in the 2013-14 NBA Season...PACERS pick up PF/C LUIS SCOLA from Team ARGENTINA and the PHX Suns...#PACERSbiz #NAPTownBiz
The Indiana Pacers knew they were a play away from beating the Miami Heat or even a Danny Granger away as he was injured for all of the 2012 -13 season. Now Larry Legend...VP of Basketball Operations Larry Bird is back after taking a year off the Pacers are now trying to seal the deal on getting out of the East and into the "Fight for Larry" for the 2013-14 season.
Through numerous Media Outlets the Pacers have acquired Argentina National Team PF Luis Scola as the Phoenix Suns get SG Gerald Green, PF/ C Mile Plumlee, and a protected 2014 Lottery Pick. What Scola brings is a blue-collar work ethic and he is a certified and verified glass-eater as well as defender and he should go nicely with D-West and "Area 55" Big Roy Hibbert of Hoya Paranoia.
The Suns are in rebuilding mode and one wonders as loaded as they are with youth who is going to be on their way out with Gerald Green coming to a crowded back court of Archie Goodwin (2013 1st rounder), PG Kendall Marshall, Combo G Shannon Brown, as well as the newly picked up Eric Bledsoe from Lob City. The Suns will be exciting if anything else in the 2013-14 season.
Stay tuned for the Pacers as they are now at least 10 deep with quality and not quantity and that move puts them ahead of the Chicago Bulls in my estimation.

REDBIRDS Kelly and BRAVES Teheran face-off and leave the BUMP tied at ZERO...then the TOMAHAWK Shop 404 gets a huge hit with DUCKS all over the pond to beat CARDS late..."WEEKEND BENDERS" Feels like OCTOBER Hardball! #BRAVESbiz #REDBIRDSbiz
Let's get right to the Bump and Rosen Bag as the Redbirds from Baseball Town USA try to even the score in their Series with the Braves. Redbirds RHP Joe Kelly came to deal as did Braves RHP Julio Teheran and both left the Bump having given up no runs.
Kelly went 6 1/3 giving up seven hits striking out three and issuing three free passes. Teheran was also on his game giving up no runs in seven innings walking one Redbird and striking out six. The Braves finally get to the Redbirds in the eight inning as SS Andrelton Simmons gets a bases-loaded double scoring two off of Redbirds Flame-Throwing Trevor Rosenthal. The Braves have proven they are more than ready to tackle the best in the show and have matched up nicely in the series from the Bump where the Redbirds have a slight edge.
The Braves move to 59-45 and that is good for an 8 1/2 game lead over the Nats in the NL East. The Redbirds drop back to 62-39 and they are two games up on the Buccos as they have yet to start with their game with the Fightin' Fish in 305.

WNBA All-Star Game as WEST beats EAST and STAPLES Center Purple & Gold CP3 goes M.V.P..."SKY WATCH" Report All-Star Edition #CandaceParker #WNBAAllSTarGame2013 #SKYGang #WNBAWhyNot
The 2013 WNBA All-Star Game was filled with Sparks as Candace "CP3" Parker gets the All-Star Game M.V.P. as the Naperville, Illinois Native gets a game-high 23 points, eleven boards, and three helpers as the West gets by the East 102-98. Parker's Teammate and Sparks Guard Kristi Toliver added 21 points as she was also in the running for M.V.P..
The game was a see saw affair as the West didn't take control of the game until under the five minute mark in the 4th frame. The East was led by excellent guard play from Mystics PG Ivory Latta and Chicago Sky sniper and smooth operator Epiphany Prince as they both net 15 points. Also for the East the Atlanta Dream Duo of Angel McCoughtry (11 pts 8 rebs 2 assts) and Brazil's Erika de Souza (13 pts 8 rebs 4 assts) dominated play for the East and there is a reason why the Sky and Dream are the two best going East in the WNBA.
For the West after Parker and Toliver the WNBA's Best Team at the Break the Minnesota Lynx (14-3) Trio was in the game and played extremely well. Seimone Augustus (12 pts 4 rebs), Maya Moore (14 pts 5 rebs), and Lindsey Whalen (8 pts) played a huge role in the West Teams effort to get the "W".
Former Three-Peat Champion Tina Thompson of the Clutch City Houston Comets now a member of the Seattle Storm made her last appearance in the All-Star Game with her record 9th Trip as she will call it quits after this season.

ARCHER and NOVA go Pitch for Pitch at the BRONX Zoo and the RAYS edge the BOMBERS 1-0 as the PINSTRIPES Equipment Manager didn't grab the Good WOOD..."WEEKEND BENDERS" YANKS heading South...May Day May Day #RAYSbiz #YANKSbiz
The Tampa Bay Rays had to elated when the took over first place in the AL East and now they started really putting the pressure on the Red Sox and O's.
In a pitchers duel between the Rays RHP Chris Archer and Yankees Ivan Nova the Bronx Faithful saw a gem by both. The Rays edge the Yanks 1-0 but not before Archer went 9 allowing just two hits and striking out six Bombers. Nova was equally as impressive going seven innings allowing six hits and one run as Nova issued three free passes and he struck out eight.
The Rays lone run came on a two-out single by Kelley Johnson in the top half of the sixth frame. The only multi-hit game came from Rays red-hot first baseman James Loney who was 2 for 3. The Yankees only two hits came from CF Brett Gardner and 1B Lyle Overbay. The Rays lead the AL East now by one full games as the O's and Carmines have yet to tangle. The Yanks are now eight back of the Rays and it's all that Grade-A Rays Pitching that is getting it done and they might run the table from here on.
Another Complete Job by a Rays Pitcher as Rays Skip Maddon has a plethora of riches in that Rotation!

BROOKLYN NETS keep getting STEALS as they add Sleeper and Ex-SPARTY Star from the TWIN Cities in SG ALAN ANDERSON...SQUEEZE the ORANGE "BARCLAYS Tidbits" #BKHoopsBiz #BKNetsBiz
The Brooklyn Nets keep adding pieces to that amazing Core of the Nets like the COO of the Barclays...D-Will 8, JJ of Jordan Brand, Lopez Barclays Edition, the Big Ticket, the Truth, and Jet Terry and now they add maybe the biggest piece.
After going through the Logo and to Europe and Back to the Logo Twin Cities Native and former Michigan State Spartan Alan Anderson has found a suitor and a home. The Nets inked the 6-6 Wingman to a reported two-year deal worth just north of $2 million. He averaged a career-high 10.7 points with the Dinosaurs (Raptors) and is one heckuva defender who can lock down points to small forwards and everything in between.
The undrafted Anderson coming out of State in 2005 had been in Charlotte, to the Middle East, the D-League, Europe, and back a few times. He now joins a bench that is moving into the "Best Bench in the Logo" Status with AK 47, Shaun Livingston, Reggie Evans, and Jet Terry to name a few. Nets GM Billy King is putting the last touched to that puzzle together and on paper as e go to press all pieces fit nicely. If the Nets are going to make any noise in the East they must defend the half court as well as in Transition and slow games down. The New Eastern Conference is a Monster and the Power has shifted to the that side in the logo for the 2013-14 season.

Can anyone Stop DODGERS SS HANLEY RAMIREZ...and CLAYTON-K dealing as usual...DODGERS beat RED LEGS behind Hanley's 2-Run Bomb..."WEEKEND Benders" Chavez Ravine is Hanley's MAN CAVE" #AWholeNewBLUE
The L.A. Dodgers keep hold of the NL West 1st place slot even though the 2nd place D-Backs took the 'Dres to the Port-A-Potty. It was all about not what the Red Legs did but what the Two Key Dodger Figures are doing.
Behind a eight innings of six hit Hardball allowing one run and eight strikeouts Clayton Kershaw gets his tenth win and officially puts his name on the NL Cy Young Ballot as he has been and will continue to be locked in from 60' 6". Reds RHP Homer Bailey came with it but his mistake to Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez in the bottom half of the 6th frame with a duck on the pond cost him. The Dodgers are riding a streak that is unheard of in the Show and they are a runaway train and for NL West Teams like the Rockies, Giants, and D-Backs they must take care of the head to head versus the Dodgers to slow them down.
Meanwhile Dodgers LF Carl Crawford went 3 for 4 as he joined Hanley as the only Dodgers to go multi-hit. The Reds had their chances as they hit four doubles and just couldn't get ducks of the pond. Dodgers Jansen gets his 13th save and the Dodgers hold their 1.2 game lead on the D-Backs in the NL West. Red Legs stay five games back of the Redbirds as the they lost and so did the Pirates the #2 team in the NL Central.
Saturday's Match Up will be Arroyo (9-7) for the Red Legs and Ryu (8-3) for the Dodgers at 9:10pm ET......

SunFISH are biting in 305 and the BUCCOS get bit....MARLINS beat PIRATES 2-0...BRAVES beat All-Star WAINRIGHT n the REDBIRDS ..."WEEKEND Benders" NL Central vs NL East #MARLINZbiz #BRAVESbiz
The Pittsburgh Pirates go into Marlins Park and find a way to get five hits, score no runs, and leave ten ducks on the pond as the Marlins beat the Pirates 2-0. The Marlins RHP Henderson Alvarez went six innings allowing two hits a walk and striking out five Pirates. Pirates All-Star Jeff Locke pitched well with obviously no run support. Locke 6 2/3 giving up the two runs on eight hits and he struck out nine Marlins. The Only mistake Locke made was to Marlins "Big Sun Fish" in OF Giancarlo Stanton ho took Locke deep in the 7th for only his 12th of 2013. Locke also walked six Marlins Hitters and after awhile one if not two to three of those free passes will cross the dish sooner rather than later.
The Pirates didn't get anyone with a multi-hit game and they struck out a combined eleven times compared to only generating one free pass. The Buccos with the loss stay two behind the Redbirds as they lost in the Tomahawk Shop 404 to the Braves tonight. The Fish some 24 games under the .500 mark and eighteen games back in the NL East will be playing spoilers for the rest of 2013.
The Atlanta Braves show people they belong in the Convo for Power Teams in the NL as they serve up the Redbirds 4-1 behind LHP Mike Minor. Minor went seven and gave up one run on four hits and struck out five Redbirds. Meanwhile the Braves Offense woke up as OF Jason Heyward goes Yard in the 8th to add insurance. The Braves touched up All-Star and Redbirds Ace Adam Wainright for four runs in seven innings as he did strikeout eight Braves. The Cards only run came off the bat of Back Stop Yadier Molina as he went Solo Shot in the top half of the 2nd off Minor. Braves All-Star Cl;sower Craig Kimbrel gets save #29 in the win.

CHARM City's O's Center Fielder Mr. JONES starts the "Friday ONSLAUGHT" with Big FLIES x 2 on the BO SOX...O's hammer BOSTON 6-0 and move closer..."WEEKEND BENDER" TGIF Recap #AdamJonesBiz #ORIOLESbiz
Red Sox Starter John Lackey got hit early and often as the Orioles jumped all over the Bo Sox in game one of a three game set. O's Center Fielder Adam Jones got everything started in Inning 1 with a two-out 2-run blast and the O's were off and running there. Jones then connected again in the bottom half of the 5th frame with a Solo Job off Lackey to make it 4-0 as All-Stars Hardy and Machado also went Solo Jobs to finish out the O's scoring.
O's RHP Chris Tillman was dealing as he went seven strong allowing two hits striking out eight and issuing three free passes but he didn't allow the Sox to score. Lackeys on the other hand was on the hook for the loss in 6 1/3 innings as he gave up five runs on nine hits and allowed the "Stitched One" to be a souvenir three times. Now the Bo Sox look like they will fall out of first as the Rays are hammering the Yanks as we go to press. The O's will move three behind the Carmines with the win.

As Camp LaTrobe opens up for the Steelers Today with their Conditioning Test the questions and doubters and naysayers weigh-in repeatedly as the Steelers are done of you here everyone talk. The same things I heard in 2012 are the same things I am hearing in 2013 and that word "OLD" is getting thrown around as much as the Swoosh is seen in Steelers Camp which is everywhere. NFL Pundits you ant to hear old...Ok!
57 Players currently on Steelers Roster as Camp LaTrobe opens is 25 years or younger...albeit there is a youth movement...
14 Players are 30 years or over and that includes Key names like QB Big Ben (31), Heeeeeeath (30), Troy (32), Clark (33), and I like Ike (32). These Players the Steelers depend on heavily and I understand that but they can still play.
Thirty-Plus players Keisel, Foote, and Clark have Players waiting in the Wings and ready to go...
Young Players that need to step up in 2013...Hood, Heyward, Woodley, Worilds, Go Go Sanders, and Cortez Allen...
2013 Draft Keepers and will get plenty of Sunday Action...OLB Jarvis Jones (2013 Starter), Safety Shamarko "Bull Shark" Thomas, RB Le'Veon Bell, and WR Markus Wheaton
The 2013 Schedule isn't real tough but a heavy dose of AFC East and NFC North with that Top-Heavy AFC North as Bengals are favorites and Ravens re-load...
Are the Steelers Old...No if the young guys play bigger roles than in the past. Can they make the Playoffs most certainly. The Biggest Reasons...Young Players step up, Bell in the Running Game, and that Young O-Line led by Twin 53. This O-Line might be the best Big Ben has ever played behind...Real Talk.
Watch yourself AFC the Steelers are not and will not accept mediocrity under Coach Tomlin who has a Twitter now may I add @CoachTomlin....Coach just "July Talk" see you and the "Men of Steel " in a NFL Stadium near you!

The Powerful REDBIRDS hit the NL East leading TOMAHAWK Shop 404 as the St. LOUIS comes in with the Show's Best Record...When will the BRAVES as a UNIT start using all that MAPLE, ASH, and BAMBOO? "WEEKEND BENDER" Is this an 2013 NLDS Preview? CARDSbiz #BRAVESbiz
The Redbirds comes off of a sweep of the Phightin' Phils to end their successful home stand and Baseball Town USA is primed for another run in October. The Braves are coming in with the 4th best record in the NL and the three teams in front of them...the aforementioned Redbirds, Buccos, and Red Legs as they all hail from the Top-Heavy NL Central. The NL East leading Braves are coming off splitting four with the Amazins' but they lost more than that. RHP Tim "Huddie" Hudson is done for 2013 as he hit the bag awkwardly and broke his ankle and that is not good news for a Pitching Rotation that needs a few good pitchers to step up. Good thing for Braves they lead by eight games as the Redbirds have to keep winning as a bad week could place them in 3rd at week's end.

Wainright and Miller are in the front and back with the Braves countering with Minor and Medlen front and back. The Game 2 in the middle should be in the Braves Favor with Teheran going.

July 28, 2013 1:05pm ET
TB Moore (14-3) vs NYY Hughes (4-9)
The Rays are trailing the Carmines in the East for a reason loom at the Quality of Arms in that rotation as they keep coming and coming. The Yanks will face 9 game-winner Hellickson tonight and 14-game-winner Moore on Sunday and Archer is Ramen Noodles. Sabathia must put his best Jordan 11 forward and deliver Tonight vs Hellickson. How good will Nova be as this appears to be the only Yankees Pitching Match up that's in their favor. Yankees will be in a bad spot if they lose the games one and two and have to beat Moore on Sunday.

the ADIzero "WEST SIDE STORY Report" Hero says he's the BEST in the LOGO!...K-MART #KNICKStape Edition back at New MSG...B-WRIGHT back in Deep Ellum Texas w/MAVS...MAKING NOISE with a Presser of REBOUND the VEGETABLE...REEEEBOUND!
If you were not even 25 years of age and not even close to your Prime and have won the "Fight for MO" (NBA MVP Trophy Maurice Podoloff) and someone ask you as you get near 100% after an injury, " Who is the best in the Logo right now?"what do you say if your D-Rose. King James, CP3, @kdTREY5....none of that , " I am the Best" and put on the Brakes and the Emergency Brakes if your shocked. What are suppose to say one of them like a Punk. That Boy is from Englewood in the South side of Chi City it's my name or you don't get to this point if your D-Rose. There are Two NBA Players that will destroy you at will and its D-Rose and Uncle Russ of Thunder Up and after that it isn't even close. The make-up of those two players stems from a tough up bringing and al those "Dead Presidents" have not and will not change anything they do when you have to see them....you got it!
The Knicks add Real Tough Guy Kenyon Martin to the mix for the 2013-14 season as he adds a nice Veteran Presence and still a really good front court defender. He is a nice piece to go with Tyson Chandler and also on that 2nd unit when the Knicks go heavy Reinforcements with the Bully replenishing himself with his favorite sports drink. The former Dallas, Texas Bryan Adams HS Star by was of "Huggy Bear Ball of Cincy" was the 2000 overall #1 Pick in the Draft K-Mart was and he has been for the most part above average with his best years when he played in "New Jersey Drive" with J-Kidd and R.J..
The Dallas Mavericks are in scramble mode as this is the 2nd Summer in a row they invited players they wanted to the Mavs Roster and for the most part they haven't landed much of anything. Calderon and "Mississippi Lightning" are upgrades but the Mavs Favorite Bubble Gum "DIRKiliscious" needs a monster on that front line and they didn't go after Al Jefferson now of the mikeCATS...disappointing. Now the Mavs have reportedly re-signed PF/C Brendan Wright of Brentwood Academy Nashville, Tennessee by way of UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he was one and done.

CARMINES stumble into CHARM City to face an O's Team that had Bad BBQ in K.C....Both Teams need that "W" in the Alphabet in the CHASE for the AL East Crown..."WEEKEND BENDERS" AL East 3-Piece #BoSoxBiz #OsBiz
The Boston Red Sox were saved by mother nature as the Rays were primed to add #3 to the 4-piece at Fenway and move onto first. Meanwhile the Orioles land in K.C. and lose three out of four and that is a bad BBQ Week in Kansas City, Missouri. Now the Red Sox have the Rays breathing down their backs and the O's are are trying to get on the straight and narrow and head for both. This is another crucial series and we haven't even hit August Hardball yet.

LOGO WATCH with a look at TEAM USA Scrimmage....Team WHITE 128 Team BLUE 106...Uncle DREW of the CAVS Gang dazzles so does Big ANT DAVIS of Team State BIRD of LOUISIANA among others #TeamUSAMensBasketball
It was a scrimmage slash what have done to improve your tool box since the last time I have seen you. Yes Team USA went Blue vs White and right off the bat it was Rip City Point God and reigning 2012-13 Logo Rookie of the Years Damian Lillard and Uncle Drew aka "Kyrie for Mayor" going Pay-Per-View from the start. License to Lillard showed his Range and Taking the Elevator with no Doorman. Kyrie showed the best Left-Hand with an Orange being right-handed since the NASHty One in L.A. Steve Nash.
Then the Bigs started to go at it as "Energizer Bunnies" MANimal Faried and Big Ant Davis showed their respective Motors as well as speed, agility, shot-blocking, transition offense, and mid-range games as those two are the Future along with Moses Malone 2013 in @boogieCousins of #TeamCOWbells from Sac Town California. The White beat the Blue 128-106 as Kyrie led all scorers with 23 points and Ant Davis led the Blue with 22 points.
Other Players to Watch for 2014 as @kdTREY5 and the "Lake Oswego Monster"..K.L. of 10K Lakes have already committed to the 2014 Team:
PGs Jrue Holiday Pelicans
SG Klay-T Dub Nation
PF/C Greg Monroe Deeeetroit Basketball

KURODA does his PART as YANKS leave Arlington with a much-needed "W"...MO gets much-deserved CURTAIN-CALL from RANGERS Nation...PALE HOSE send VERLANDER to Shower early..."GET AWAY" Day Thursdays Recap #1
The New York Yankees pulled a rabbit out the hat last night and then they ride Hiroki Kuroda's gem to a 2-0 shutout as the Mo rolled the credits. As the A-Rod Comedy plays out Kuroda went seven innings allowing six hits a free pass and struck out three Rangers. The Bombers didn't need much from the dish as Lillibridge and Nunez both had an RBI. In the loss Rangers RHP Derek Holland pitched well enough top win but obviously didn't get any run support. Holland went 7 1/3 allowing two runs on eight hits walking one and striking out two. The Yanks leave Texas still 4th in the AL East and 6 1/2 behind the AL East leading Carmines. The Rangers fall 3 1/2 back of the AL West leading A's as they have yet to play vs Halos later on tonight.
The Chicago White Sox might have the 3rd worst record in the Show but tell Tigers Ace RHP Justin Verlander who was lit up and hit the Showers way earlier than he is accustomed to. The Sox jumped on Verlander in Inning One and then after the Tigers tied up the game 2-2 in the top half of the 4th the Chi-Sox put up a crooked four in their half of the same inning going onto win 7-4. Verlander's Line was six innings allowing seven runs on eleven hits giving up a "Tater" to Sox young Stud Back Stop Tyler Flowers (Solo Bomb). The Sox Starter Jake Peavy who will most likely be done in Chi City as he is definitely a candidate to be moved at the Trade Deadline went seven giving up four runs on four hits as three of the four hits were souvenirs (Hunter 2-Run HR , Martinez Solo Shot, and Pena Solo Shot) and that's not good. Tigers with the loss are just three up on the Tribe. The Pale Hose will be sellers and not buyers as the Trade Deadline looms. Names like Peavy, Rios, and Dunn have to be on a few teams wish list.

The HALOS travel to the Black Hole "Baseball Set-Up" to tackle the Swingin' ATHLETICS...HALOS double-digits back of A's and now is the Time to put things in order for the HALOS..."WEEKEND BENDERS" HALOS it's now or never for 2013 #ANGELSbiz #AsBiz
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have struggled in 2013 and have yet to hit the .500 mark and start heading north as time is running out. The Oakland Athletics lead the AL West over the Rangers by 3 1/2 games and some eleven over the 4th place Halos. If the Halos are to make a move it has to be in head to head match ups as well as in the month of August or 2013 will be a wash. The A's are trying to run away from the Rangers as they try to think about October Hardball sooner rather than later.

LAA Richards (2-4) vs OAK Milone (8-8)
July 28, 2013 4:05pm ET
LAA Hanson (4-2) vs OAK Parker (6-6)
The Angels will have to start off on eh right foot as they have their most consistent Arm on the Bump in 2013 going in Game 1 and that is LHP CJ Wilson. The A's have Ace RHP Bartolo Colon going in game 2 and he is sandwiched in between Straily and Milone who have been up and don but they are .500. After Wilson for the Halos they have to have Williams, Richards, ands Hanson step up as its not all on them but the Halos need solid outings from all three to make a serious move in this four game set.

Once Jaws put him in the Top 5 the Wells Fargo Wagon and Duffel Bags followed.
Through numerous Media outlets the Falcons and Franchise QB Matt Ryan have agreed in principal on a deal that puts Matty Ice in Elite Company but Super Bowl Winners and not taking shots but get that done Matt Ryan everything else is in the Bags. Ryan is to put his John Hancock on a reported $103.75 million deal with a reported guarantee of $59 million and take that Ordinary Joe of the #PurpleBrowns and that Chevy Corvette...Lol!
Matty Ice is the Man and Franchise QBs are hard to find ask the Cowboys n Bears among others. Now he has nothing to worry about but the task at hand and that is getting the Dirty Birds and Falcons Nation to the Big Bowl in Met Life Blue in February 2013. Also getting that Wilson Pigskin to the "Peach Drop 3" in Julio, Roddy, and Gonzo with a fourth member to be added by Week 6 possibly in Steven Jackson and it will be the "Peach Drop 3" featuring S-Jack.

Who would've though as we hits late July Hardball that the L.A. Dodgers (23-5 since June 22) would be in first place in the NL West and seemingly not going to lose until Spring Training 2014. The Red Legs are controlling what they can control as they trail the 12nd Buccos by 3 1/2 and the 1st place Redbirds by five games in the Central. Unlike the NL West the NL Central is Top-Heavy with three teams that could go to the "Fight for October" and do serious damage. Can the Red Legs go to Chavez Ravine playing out of the Motel and slow down that Dodgers Train led by not Thomas, Henry, Harold, Stanley, and Percy of Thomas the Train" Fame but Yasiel, Hanley, Clayton, Zach, and A-Gon among others. Red Legs follow @DatDudeBP, Votto, Bruce, and Mat Latos who will lead off the series tonight vs blazin' Dodgers RHP Zach Greinke. Who you wit!

Both Teams are set up like its October Baseball as Game 1, Game 2, Game 3, and even game 4 will be super competitive on the bump. Greinke has been lock down since he came off his stint on the DL. Latos has been the most consistent on the bump for the Reds as Ace Johnny Cueto can't get healthy. Kershaw has gotten back to 2011 NL Cy Young Form and has been untouchable. Bailey has pitched two of the last three no-hitters dating back to September 2012 at PNC Park but he is all in or all out. Arroyo is an Innings Eater and Ryu has been solid all season long in 2013. Cingrano versus Capuano appears to be the only match up where Hitters seemingly could do damage. This is big for both and even bigger for the Red Legs trailing the Buccos and Redbirds.

"NOW At the DISH" can ORIOLES Young HOT CORNER Star MANNY "M2" MACHADO get the All-Time MLB DOUBLES Record as he is on pace for just north of 70...CAMDEN Krazies and O's Nation stand up! #TWObaggerBiz #M2Oriolesbiz
Story Lines are in abundance in the Show as their is "Mad Max of Comerica" going for twenty W's, Yasiel Puig carrying a "Whole New Blue", the Buccos of the 'Burgh flying high, and can Miggy of the D gets his 2nd AL Triple Piece in a Row and that is just some of the top story lines of the 2013 MLB Season but there is one more and it is significant.
Baltimore Orioles Hot Corner Manny Machado (Twitter @MannyMachado3) became an All-Star in 2013 before he hits 21 years of age. He is the Present and the Future of the Charm City Hardball Team moving forward and he is something to watch. Machado's 2013 numbers of .304 avg with 8 bombs and 48 ribbies and sixty runs and those are solid numbers but the biggest number is Machado's Two-Baggers...you know Doubles.
As we go to press and he has slowed a little out the gate but "M2" leads the show with 39 two-baggers and is on pace to hit just north of 70 doubles in a 162 game trek. Now is that significant yes as the record is held by Earl Webb of the 1931 Red Sox with 67 in a season. In the last twenty tears dating back to 1993 Todd Helton had 63 in 2000 for the Rockies, Carlos Delgado had 57 in the same year in the AL for the Blue Birds, and Carig Biggio of the 'Stros had 56 in 1999.
Machado seems to be on pace and as we hit August in less than week Machado needs just over 15 to break Webb's 67 but to get 70 he needs 16-17 two-baggers an Machado will be in the Record Books at the ripe age of 21 and his 2nd full year in the Show. Now how 'bout that Camden Krazies and O's Nation.

BUCCOS Liriano and NATS Strasburg play in "My STUFF is better than your STUFF"....BUCCOS prevail but not after Hitters were worried about getting sent back to the FARM...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report #StayInYourSeatForThisOne!
The Pirates took a chance on LHP Francisco Liriano and is has paid off. The Nats lose this one but could the Strasburg "Indicator Light" was green and that's an excellent sign moving forward.
The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Nats 4-2 and three of those four were tallied in the top half of the ninth with the Nats up 2-1. Before all that drama there was no drama at the dish as both Liriano and Starsburg stifled hitters at the dish for some eight innings. The only bump in the road for either pitcher was Starsburg giving up a solo shot to Buccos All-Star Pedro Alvarez in the 2nd frame.
The Buccos Liriano was dealing as he went 7 2/3 innings allowing two hits and striking out eight issuing three free passes and no runs. Vintage Liriano it was and I bet you he had a Twinkies Jersey on or Twinkies Boxers on as he use to dominate for the Twins like this.
Strasburg was up to the task as well as he went eight innings strong allowing that one run on two hits as he sent back four innings of Pirates Hitters thinking, "S2 is back in Nats Park". He left only for Nats Reliever Drew Storen to give up all three runs in the 9th and pitched 2/3 of the inning as "S2" takes the loss.
The Nats have lost their sixth straight and that is past cause for concern. Both "S2" and "G2"...Strasburg and Gonzalez couldn't stop the Nats bleeding and the Pirates are in a dead heap to catch them a Redbirds or two or three. Pirates a 1 1/2 back in the NL Central and the Nats are nine back in the NL East including five games under .500.

Motor City TIGERS ride SANCHEZ and Three "TATERS" from PRINCE of the D, TORII, and AUSTIN on their way to beating the SOUTH SIDERS 6-2...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report #HumpDayHardball
The Detroit Tigers are starting to put some W's together as they try and pull away from the 2nd place Tribe in the AL Central and seeing the Pale Hose at this present moment is a good kick starter.
The Tigers get a three-run bomb from First Baseman "Prince of the D" in the top half of the first off Pale Hose Starter John Danks and Solo Shots from Austin Jackson and Torii Hunter as the Tigers roll to a 6-2 victory. Tigers RHP Anibal Sanchez didn't need that much run support but it didn't hurt. Sanchez went six innings allowing six hits, a walk, and striking out five Sox hitters. Prince also led the Tigers with three ribbies in this one.
The Sox LHP John Danks continues to struggle and the Sox are on the hook for Danks and that contract (5-years $65 million signed before 2012...that's a Bad Contract). He went seven innings giving up all six runs on eleven hits as he struck out three but also gave up three "TATERS". The Pale Hose are 39-59 as we go to press and 16 games out of first. With the MLB Trade Deadline a week away the Pale Hose have to be shopping Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko one would think.
The Tigers stay 3 1/2 games up on the Tribe with Verlander going against Peavy and lookout Sox!

Behind a BOURN "GRANNY" the TRIBE put a 10 Spot on the M's and try to keep pace with the AL Central leading TIGERS...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW report #TRIBEbiz #BOURNbiz #ALCentralBiz
The Cleveland Indians are trying to stay close to the AL Central leading Detroit Tigers and they have struggled out the gate a little after the All-Star Break. The Tribe came into their game Wednesday with Seattle with it all going.
Scott Kazmir trying to get his career back on track gets the win as he moves to 6-4 as the M's Line Up couldn't do anything with him. Kaz went eight innings allowing one run on one hit while striking out seven and issuing just two free passes.
The Tribe's Offense was clicking from the top half of the first as they put a crooked three up and then in the fourth inning they struck. With Ducks all over the pond 2013 Tribe Free Agent pick up CF Michael Bourn goes "Granny" that's right touch'em all as he hits his 1st career Grand Slam and the flood gates opened for the Tribe. Tribe Back Stop playing Designated Hitter in this one Carlos Santana went 3 for 5 with two ribbies. Also Tribe Short Stop Asdrubal Cabrera chipped in going 2 for 4 scoring three runs, knocking in two more and a Solo Shot to boot.
The Tribe are just 3 1/2 back of the Tigers and they have the pitching and hitting to get it done as only time will tell. The M's not to be forgotten with that Two-Headed Monster on the Bump in Kid Felix and Hisashi Iwakuma is five under the .500 mark and eleven out in the AL West.

RAYS 2012 AL Cy Young Winner PRICE dealing vs BO SOX and the RAYS move again within a 1/2 game in the AL East...A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report #HumpDayAtThePark
The Boston Red Sox have run into the hottest thing east of the Mississippi in the Tampa Bay Rays and the only thing that might slow this current run down is the Rays themselves.
Behind a three-run 3rd Inning the Rays dominate on their way to a decisive 5-1 win as the Red Sox just do not have the starting pitching right now to match up with the Rays. Ben Zorbrist, Wil Myers, and James Loney all go multi-hit as the Rays Offense has been good enough to win games like the pitching.
Rays LHP David Price appears to be far removed from his DL Stint as the Carmines get vintage Price tonight. He went nine innings allowing five hits and a run including a Long Ball to Red Sox First Baseman Mike Napoli. Price also struck out four Red Sox Hitters and issuing not one free pass. Red Sox Starter Felix Doubront get tagged with the "L" as he goes 6 2/3 allowing three runs on six hits walking two and striking out five. A costly third frame doomed his outing and the Red Sox couldn't solve Price.
The Rays now will throw Hellickson vs Lackey on Thursday Night and 1st place is up for grabs one more time in the AL East before the Rays leave town.

8. Shields #Royals 122 (141 2/3)
10. Iwakuma #Ms 120 (138 1/3)
Darvish has arguably the toughest stuff to lay wood on in the show as he can go to some five pitches at anytime in the count which means you can sit on any one pitch. Holland for the Rangers is a solid #2 behind Darvish hence the Rangers are #2 in the AL West...
Scherzer and Verlander are one of the Top Duo's in the Show and that M's Duo is chirping in Kid Felix and Iwakuma and they are the best duo you have never heard of.
Masterson has the Indians running 2nd in the AL Central...
Sale is carrying the load for the South Siders but the Sox need to get a few Horses behind him...
Sabathia not having the best year but he still is a horse as he eats Innings and is money if they get to October Hardball...
Shields' W-L Record isn't sparkling but he is a Pitcher's Pitcher....the Rays made the right move letting him go with names like Moore and Hellickson.
